Alan: Hi, I'm Dr. Alan Weidner from 'Massage-Chair-Relief.com' and today is our biweekly massage chair industry update for Thursday, October 31st, 2019. Happy Halloween! I just came back from my granddaughter's Halloween parade, and by golly, I don’t miss that at all from being a parent, trying to worry about getting costumes for kids. But it's kind of fun to go as a grandparent, because I don’t have any accountability whatsoever, except to show up, and they were adorable. But anyway, Happy Halloween to you.
[SCREEN TEXT: DreamWave is Now OHCO]
Alan: Today, I thought I would give you an update on a really important brand change. As you know, there's been a, there's a brand called DreamWave, as most of you probably know, there's a brand called DreamWave, and DreamWave was, is the, the name, the word DreamWave and the company DreamWave was the brainchild of Cliff Levin at Furniture for Life, and there was an issue with the using of the term DreamWave. And so, through some wranglings, and through some discussions, the name of that company has been, or that brand, has been changed to OHCO, O-H-C-O, and we should have that, the new logos, the new images of the OH logos just came out, and we should have that up tomorrow. But anyway, the DreamWave brand is no more called DreamWave, it is now called OHCO. It's still the M.8, and soon to come out R.6, but that chair is now, or that brand name is now changed to OHCO. So, we don’t use the – well, we may use the term DreamWave from time to time, just when people ask us about it – or you know, ask what happened to it, or where, or you know, what's different about it the DreamWave M.8 versus the OHCO M.8. There are no differences. The chair is exactly the same. The only difference is the little, the little, the little, the label, there's a little label on each chair that says DreamWave, that now says OHCO. And so, they are in the process of changing the labels on all the chairs. The DreamWaves are – see, I called them the DreamWaves – the OHCOs are on back-order now until, until the middle of November, and then there will be, then they're going to be, when the chairs come in, they’ve got to change all the labels to OHCO, and but all the chairs from here on out that'll be shipped will be called OHCO, O-H-C-O. And you can watch a video that I did last week with Cliff, talking about the new brand name, and kind of how it came about, and what it means. There's quite a bit of symbolic meaning to the word OHCO, and but anyway, you can watch that video, it's on my YouTube channel. I don’t have the link to it here, but if you go to the YouTube, our YouTube channel, Massage-Chair-Relief, you can watch that interview and learn about the new brand. So, DreamWave now called OHCO, the colors are the same, the brand, the chairs are exactly the same, there's no difference, zero difference, except the name and the label, and that is important to know.
[SCREEN TEXT: New Ogawa Active L Plus to Replace the Ogawa Active L]
Alan: Alright, also, we have got notification from Ogawa that the – I'm going to see if I can find this for us – yeah, the Ogawa Active L, which has been a fairly popular-selling chair for us over the last few years has now been, is going to be discontinued and replaced by the Active L Plus, and the changes will be, as far as I can tell, I'm looking at the email that notified us of the changes, it's going to have three memory programs, which is interesting because a lot of the lower-priced massage chairs do not have the memory function, which means that if you create your own manual, customized program on your chair, which you can do with pretty much every massage chair, you can create your own program, now you can memorize it with the Active L Plus. There are three memory programs, so you can have three different programs memorized. Now, this is not just something that’s not uncommon in lower-priced chairs, it's not uncommon, period. I mean, off the top of my head, I can think of just a handful of chairs that have the memory function, like the Panasonics, the Fujimedic Kumo, the Luraco Legend, and the Luraco iRobotics 7 Plus, and I think a couple of the Japanese-made chairs, but I can't remember off the top of my head, but there's not many. I can list them, most of them, on just one hand. So, anyway, that’s a cool feature. It also has a leg scan, right now it has an electronic, the Ogawa Active L has an electronic leg extender. Now, I've talked about this in a video, but there are leg extenders that are spring loaded, so you just push your feet out and the ottoman extends, based on the length of your legs, or you have an electronic leg extender, where you can adjust the length of the ottoman or the footrest with a button on the remote control. Well, now, this new upgraded Active L, the Active L Plus will have a leg scan, where the leg will actually go out, and based on your fit, and try to fit the right size for you. Of course, you can still adjust it, but it's a leg scan, so it's not just you adjusting it for whatever length you want, and there are language settings now. And we're seeing more and more of this, where a chair will have, on their display, or on the voice response, on the voice – see, some chairs, they just have the writing on the remote control that is in English – and a lot of them, like Human Touch and Luraco chairs have a voice response, so there's actually someone talking, walking you through what you're experiencing in a chair. I mean, Panasonic has the same thing. Well, now, a lot of those companies are changing the language options. So, now you can have English, you can have Vietnamese, you can have Chinese, you can have Spanish, and now this one has those, plus it's got French. And every massage chair company prioritizes the languages, and has certain number of languages that they’ll include, but the five on the Active L Plus are English, Spanish, French, Vietnamese, and Chinese.

Alan: So, anyway, those are the main differences between the Active L Plus, and the Active L, which brings me to my next point. We do, well, we will have our floor model Active L on sale. I think it retails for $3299, and by the way, the new Active L Plus will retail for the same price, $3299, but we will sell that one for, I believe, like $1999, our floor model, and that still comes with a warranty, our Lifetime Labor warranty, free shipping. So, if you're interested in it, we haven’t put it up on our pre-owned directory yet, but that will be up pretty quick. If you're interested in it, just give us a call, you know our number, it's 888-259-5380.
[SCREEN TEXT: Massage Chair Relief of Arizona is Now OPEN!!]
Alan: OK, thirdly, our Arizona store is actually up and running now. This week is our, it's not, I wouldn’t call it a grand opening, I call it a soft opening, which is where we, we're open, and we sell chairs, and I have the staff trained, and going through the process of educating customers about the chairs, we just haven’t got all the decorating done. We've got some pieces of furniture that are coming, and some plants, and we're putting up a couple more sconces on the walls, and we're bringing in some other lights, and a bench for people to sit on. Anyway, there's a lot of touch up things that we're doing, and that should be ready by the end of next week. But right now, the store is open, and it's at 1955 West Baseline Road, Suite 105, in Mesa, on the corner of Dobson and Baseline. So, if you live in Arizona, you’ve got this new resource, it has 16 chairs in it, and it's a nice open space, unlike my Utah one, which is an old smoke shop that you can barely walk through when the chairs are set up. But our California and Arizona stores are very nice, very spacious, and very nice. Anyway, it's open, Melody and Sean are there, they work there, and they take different days of the week. We're open Monday through Friday 10AM to 6PM, and Saturday 10AM to 4PM, and our phone number there is 480-597-3, oh brother, is it 3478? Sorry, I'm still learning it myself, but it's 480-597-yeah, 3578, 3578. You can call and schedule an appointment, or just go in whenever you'd like, and I always tell folks, when you come to the showroom, plan on a little time, don’t go there thinking you got a 20-minute lunch hour, and you're going to be experiencing all these chairs, you need time. So, schedule some time when you do go, but we'd love to have you. We have a lot of treats there for you, you know, and great information for you, brand new models that we don’t have in any of our other stores, like we have the Master, Ogawa Master Drive AI, the Human Touch Super Novo, the BodyFriend Pharaoh, we have those chairs, and the Osaki Admiral. We have those chairs in the Arizona showroom, and as of yet, don’t have them in our other showrooms. So, anyway, go give us a visit, come by and see us, we'd love to have you. We have some grand opening specials going on in the store. I'm not going to tell you about them because I can't on this video, but I you come in to the store, we will have some specials for you.
[SCREEN TEXT: BodyFriend Models Should Be on our Site by This Weekend]
Alan: What else was I going to tell you? The, oh, the BodyFriend chairs, we still, they're on, they're on, they're ready to be put on the website, but we don’t have the images added in yet, so that they, for the pages, but the BodyFriend chairs, there are four of them. There's the Pharaoh, the Palace, the Phantom, and the Rex L Brain. Those will be, those should be up on the website, I believe my web guy is going to be working on that tomorrow morning. So, hopefully by tomorrow, we'll have, or by the end of the weekend we'll have the BodyFriend chairs up on the website. And again, BodyFriend is a Korean company, they're actually the world's largest retailer of massage chairs, 95% or 99% of their business is in Asia, and principally, Korea. It's a Korean company. They use a very, very good factory in China, a factory where the, a lot of the Infinity chairs are made, the Human Touch Novo and Super Novo chairs are made, the Osaki Ekon is made there, a lot of great chairs, it's a great, great factory, and that’s where I believe, I think all four of those BodyFriend chairs come from. But they're beautiful, there's not a ton of color options, but they're very kind of stylish looking, a little flashy looking, very modern looking, but go ahead and take a look at them, and let me know if you have any questions about them. OK, I think that is just, that was just about it, in terms of news for this week. We're getting close to Black Friday, so stock is coming in now, like I mentioned, the DreamWaves, or the OHCOs have been on back-order, they will be in stock at the middle of this month, and there'll be good stock. But every company is also going to have stock on their chairs, because they know that from Black Friday on, it's a very, very busy time until the end of the year. And we'd love to, we'd love to, you know, help answer any questions you have, or be a part of your massage chair search. Go to my website for tools like the comparison chart, the My Chair Finder software, my blog, or article library, where I've written about a lot of chairs over the years, our YouTube channel, which has videos up the ying-yang of many of the models that we carry, and that we used to carry in the showroom, but still carry on our website. We want to be a resource for you in making that decision. Also, take a look at our Lifetime Labor warranty, which is very unique to our industry, and also take a look at our 90-day return policy, which is free returns, period. We don’t charge anything for the return, you know, once we pick it up, ship it back, it's free. And anyway, take a look at any of the information on our website, I've tried to create this website to be a resource, not just a catalog to buy from, but a resource with tools for helping you make that decision, because a lot of you can't get to a place where you can try a chair out, right? It's very difficult, so you're going to try to make your best guess based on the available information, and when you look at a lot of these chairs, they, on paper they look the same, they all have rollers, a lot of them have 3D, a lot of them are L-tracks, a lot of them foot rollers, a lot of them have 30 to 40 to 60 to 80 airbags, what's, well, what's the difference? Well, a lot of it's in the feel, and that’s a tough thing to experience when you can't find one to sit in, and so we have as many tools as we can to help you kind of drill down to a model or two that you can select from. And then if you don’t like it, and it's not working for you, you can return it, and we do free returns.
