A complaint I hear once in a while is when a chair reclines and the arm rests do not rotate back along with the reclining chair back.
What this means is that when the chair reclines and the arm rest doesn’t move with it, the user’s arms slip somewhat out of the arm airbag component, even if just for a few inches. This is quite bothersome to some folks, as indicated by this email I received the other day…
i tested an inada sogno, like it just my arms rub on the back above the elbow. as the arm side part does not rock back far enough as the chair is in full recline. im tall 6’4″ would the osaki 7200, or infinty 8500 have better arm side peice that rocks back as the chair is reclined? i like a deep roller massage. Mike
My Response:
Hi, Mike
Thanks for your email. I would have answered you last night when I got your inquiry, but I wanted to come down to the showroom this morning and actually try out those two models for you, as I don’t get that question a lot.
Here is what you can expect from both chairs:
1. Osaki OS-7200H – the arms recline with the chair for the zero gravity only. If you lower the chair back down further, the chair will recline, but the arm rests will not move with it. You will lose a few inches of arm coverage when you go to a full recline.
2. Infinity IT-8500 – the arms reclined with the chair for both the zero gravity position and the full recline. This would be the better bet of the two.
Both chairs are quite deep with their roller massage. They each feel a little different as to the size of the rollers and how the rollers are used, but they will both give you a good intense massage.
I hope this helps. Please feel free to email me or call me at 801-651-2026 if you have more questions or need assistance with your order. I am always at your disposal.

For the most part, when the arm rests do NOT rotate back completely with the chair in full recline, the difference is only a few inches of forearm that are not getting massaged. Not a large amount and for most not a game changer, but to the customer that really wants, if not demands, as much arm massage as possible, this is a big deal. If you want to know if the chair you are interested in does this or not, let me know and I’ll check it out for you in our showroom, if we have the chair. If we don’t, then I can contact the massage chair company and ask them to test it for us.
