New, Very Cool Infinity Model Coming…IYASHI!!

I just received news yesterday of a new model coming from Infinite Therapeutics for their Infinity line of massage chairs.  The new model is called the “Iyashi” and it is a pretty cool looking chair. At first glance it is very stylish and modern looking. Here are the main features that are being touted by Infinity:

1. Zero Gravity. As I’ve taught before, zero gravity connotes a 30 degree tilt of the seat, with a 120 degree articulation between the seat and the chair back. The ottoman often raises above the heart as part of the zero gravity suite.

2. The base of the chair slides forward 12 inches when you recline the chair. This allows for the chair to be  placed closer to the wall and not take up so much space. Great idea, actually. These massage chairs nowadays are getting so big that they take up a lot of room. Most chairs require 12-18 inches away from the wall so that the chairback doesn’t hit the wall when the chair is reclined. This feature seems to remedy that to some degree.

3. Thai Stretch. The only thing I know about Thai stretch is that it is vigorous, so I suspect that this chair will try to mimic the intensity of the Thai stretch of the Osaki OS-7075R chair.

4. Here is something that is very cool and I am quite excited to see this in a chair…rollers that go all the way down the back and along the buttocks and thighs! Yes, rollers that work on your butt. Up to now, airbags have been the primary source of therapy for the buttocks and thighs. Now we have rollers doing the job. I think this will be a very popular feature going forward. The roller  track on this chair is around 49-50 inches to accommodate the buttocks and thighs. To put that in perspective, the longest roller track to date has been 31 inches. You see how significant this roller length is.

Incidentally, the newly redesigned Osaki OS-3000 also touts rollers that extend to the buttocks and thighs.

5. Mechanical foot rollers. I am glad that they are keeping this feature. It has made their IT-8500 and IT-8200 quite popular. I get a lot of calls from customers looking for foot rollers nowadays. I think this will be a wonderful feature to have on this chair. By the way, there are two rollers per foot.

6. IOS and Droid compatability with bluetooth connectivity. We have seen this before in the HT-9500 from Human Touch and more recently by the iRobotics 6 from Luraco. A relatively new feature in massage chairs, but seemingly growing in popularity (at least with the vendors…quite frankly, I don’t get a lot of inquiries about this feature, if any, from customers). In a nutshell, you can run your chair wirelessly from your cell phone device.

7. Additional features include lumbar heat, chromotherapy lights on the chair exterior, footrest extension, body scanning, and music synchronization. It also has faux leather that looks and feels like real leather.

The price on this model will be $5495, with an accompanying instant savings of $600, bringing the cost of the chair down to $4895. Available colors will be red and caramel with chairs being available in early July.

I am very excited to see this chair. Check out the video…

Kinda cool. eh?

We’ll be having this chair on the site later this week and we will be taking pre-orders right away. Give me a call at 888-259-5380 if you want to place your order over the phone. Don’t snooze on this one. Mark my words, this one will be a popular chair.
