Alan: Hi, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com‘ and today I’m going to demonstrate the manual ottoman adjustment of the Infinity Escape massage chair. Now, all of the chairs will accommodate different heights of people. Most of them will accommodate anywhere from 5′ to 5′ 2″, all the way up to 6′ 1″, 6′ 2″, up to 6′ 4″, 6′ 5″. So, they’ve got this capacity to handle all sizes and shapes of people. Well, one of the things that accommodates a taller body is an ottoman – and when I say ottoman, I mean the foot-and-calf massager – that can extend out. Some chairs have an electronic extender, like the Osaki Dreamer, or the Osaki Maxim.

Alan: They have an electronic extender, where when you recline the chair, the foot portion will extend out automatically. And then when it starts to retract, you have your feet in there, and when it’s the right length, you push your toes forward, and it’ll stop it from retracting. That’s a cool feature, but it can be a little time intensive. So, on this one, on the Infinity Escape, all you have to do – and on many other chairs – it has a manual adjustment. So, you can just push with your foot out, just like that, you see? Because I’m only about 5′ 9″, but in the default position, this is too short. So, I can extend my legs out, just automatically, manually, like an accordion, in and out, very easy to do. It’s not fancy, there’s no electronics involved.

Alan: There’s just a very simple extension out, and then a retraction if I want to bring it back, or if I pull my legs out, it’ll automatically extend back in. So, that is how the ottoman extension works on the Infinity Escape massage chair, very easy. And it’ll accommodate people up to, you know, 6′ 3″, 6′ 4″, 6′ 5″, and principally, it does that through the extension of the ottoman.
