Alan: Hi, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com’ and today is our biweekly massage chair industry update for Monday, August 10th, 2015, and let’s get right in to it.
[SCREEN TEXT: Stock Status]
Alan: We’ve got back order on the ‘Creme’ DreamWave until the 14th, so later this week, the ‘Creme’ DreamWave will be in stock. The Ogawa Refresh, in the ‘Bronze’ color – and it’s a nice color, by the way, I saw that chair when I was visiting Ogawa/Cozzia a few weeks ago, and that’s a nice looking color – but that one is back-ordered until the third week of August, and I believe that that is about it, as far as the back-orders, or the back-order status goes.
[SCREEN TEXT: New Chair From Human Touch: Ascent 4]
Alan: Now, Human Touch is coming out with a new chair called the Ascent 4, and I have asked for information about it so we could put it on the website. I don’t know much about it, I understand it’s a Taiwanese-made chair. It is from a company that had previously branded their own chairs here in the United States, but now are branding them through some of the more established massage chair companies, and Human Touch is one of them. So, when I learn more about the Ascent 4, I will let you know, but you can stay tuned for that. Also, Luraco – now, you know that the iRobotics 7 is now out, fully out – and you know we’re selling a number of them already. It’s a popular chair, I think, as far as the interest goes, because of, it’s the quality components of being American made, a large part of it, American made, assembled, quality control tested here, plus the Taiwanese components, which is a good, quality component. You know, as far as listing quality of chairs, you go Japanese, Taiwanese, Chinese, and that iRobotics chair is going to be a popular one. Plus, with the touchscreen, you know, the operating system on the remote, which is very, very, very much like, you know, the iPhone, or I should say, smartphone, any smartphone, it’s going be a very progressive looking, and feeling chair. But anyway, they have come out with a couple of videos, I put one of them up on our – I think it’s up on our blog, so you can go see that video – it’s kind of like a little commercial that they put out on the iRobotics 7, nice chair, nice little commercial, go take a look at it. And by the way, we will be having one of those chairs in our showroom in the next couple of months, and when that happens, we will do videos, and of course, do the whole run through, as we do with all of our models, so that you can become more versed in that particular chair, and become a little bit more supported in the decision that you make, with regard to buying that chair or not, so anyway, Luraco videos, Luraco video is out on our blog.
[SCREEN TEXT: 18 month, 0% Interest Financing – 08/26 – 09/28]
Alan: Also, the 18 month – now, as you know, that we provide financing through Paypal Credit and through Synchrony Bank – Synchrony Bank, our credit options are pretty much 6 or 12 months for 0% interest financing, a few times each year, they offer 18 month financing, and we’re coming up to one of those times for Labor Day. I can’t believe we’re talking about Labor Day, it’s like, are you kidding me, the summer is approaching the end, I don’t even want to think about it. I know that football’s started, and baseball’s winding down to the playoffs soon, and I know that all just spells the end of summer, and for a Canadian guy, summer is everything and so, I’m kind of sad to see it ending. But of course, if you’re a skier, or whatnot, you’re probably looking forward to winter, but I am not in that camp, I’m sorry. And by the way, when you’re from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, the running joke is summer is the best day of the year, or the best week of the year, and that is kind of a joke against the weather up there, but in some respects, there is some validity to that, and that’s what I was raised with. Anyway, we’re going to have 18 month, 0% financing from August 26th to September 8th. So, if you’re thinking of buying a chair, and you want to use the 18 month, 0% interest financing, this is one of those times when they drop our processing rates, so we can afford to offer that to you. So, anyway, well, I’ll mention that again in subsequent blog posts and/or massage chair industry updates.

Alan: Let’s see, what else have got? Oh, I just posted a video this week – you know, we have a video on our website that shows you how to make a massage chair purchase on our website, kind of a tutorial, a video screen cast, or screen-capture tutorial, well, we changed – we haven’t changed, but we’ve upgraded our shopping cart, and so the shopping cart’s different now. When you add a chair to the cart, a little thing pops up on the right-hand side of your screen, and that’s your shopping cart, and you can, you know, add promo codes, or calculate taxes, or whatever, but you go to check out from there. Well, that’s different from the old version. So, I made a video, just this week, it’s just a short, five-minute video that kind of walks you through how to place an online chair sale on the Massage-Chair-Relief.com website, so take a look at that video.
[SCREEN TEXT: IT-8500 vs. Osaki Pro Cyber Comparative Review]
Alan: And then, finally, I wrote a review, and I’ve been wanting to do this forever, I get a lot of people that call and ask about the Osaki Cyber, which is a fairly popular chair. I also get asked about the Infinity IT-8500, and a comparison of the two, because they’re very close in price point. As a matter of fact, they’re very, very close in price point, especially with some of the price match opportunities that are out there on the Cyber. Well, people want to know, what’s the difference between the two, and I’ve had this on my list of articles to write, and I’ve gotten a little bit lazy with some of the article writing, over the last number of months. But I wrote a two-part article, a comparative review, on those two chairs, the 8500, and the Osaki OS-3D Pro Cyber, and what I did this time, was I took each of the points that I was going to consider, and I was, at the end of each point, I would write ‘Advantage: Cyber,’ ‘Advantage: IT-8500,’ or ‘Advantage: Draw,’ so that you can kind of get a feeling from me, which chair, in my humble opinion, which is worth maybe about two bits, what chair would be better for each of those particular features. So, I just thought I would let you know about that, you can go read on the review, when you’re in part one, you can scroll down to the bottom, and there’s a link to part two, and if you’re in part two, you can also link to part one, but it’s a good two-part review. I think you’ll enjoy it, and remember, a lot of these reviews I write are not based strictly on literature, which is one way to do a review, but we actually have the chairs in our showroom. So, when I talk about the Cyber, and the 8500, be aware that I have both in the showroom, and my feelings about the chairs, or my review of the chairs has something to do with the feelings that I have about each chair, having sat on them myself, having had customers come in to the showroom, and try them out, and compare them, and so, I have some really viable input, besides just a literature review. So, I hope you take that in to consideration when you read the review, and you understand that I’m actually giving some very good suggestions, and feedback, and input about those chairs, so anyway, that’s all I have to say about that.

Alan: So, I think that’s about it, I think we have some – and I mentioned this a few months ago, but we’ve got some pretty cool things going on at Massage-Chair-Relief, and when I say pretty cool, to me, they’re very cool, and I’m excited about it, and it’s taken – we’ve worked over the whole summer to work on a couple of these things. But we’ll be announcing them a couple, starting, I think even next week, or the week after, the next massage chair industry update will have a lot of information, so stay tuned, and you know, be ready for two weeks from now, and we’ll have some pretty cool stuff to announce. And some of it, I’m just so excited about it, from a professional aspect, from a business aspect, from an academic aspect, and I think you guys are going to just dig it, and it’s going to be stuff that will help further the industry, and of course, increase the credibility of our own business. So, and we want our business to be very credible, we want people to be able to trust us when they go to spend $5000, or more, or less, on a massage chair, I want them to be able to know that they’re buying from a credible and trusted source, and we do everything we can to instill that in you.
