Transcript of Video Titled “First-Time Use – Infinity Altera Massage Chair”

[SCREEN TEXT: First-Time Use]

Alan: Hi, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com‘ and today I’m going to show you how to use the Infinity Altera L-track massage chair for your first time. It’s a very simple chair to use. The remote’s a little different from the traditional remotes that we use on other chairs, but it becomes very intuitive once you use it.

Alan: It’s a very simple remote, but I’ll go in to that in a second. The first thing that I like to do when I sit on a chair is remove the neck, the head pillow, and the neck pad so I can feel the full effect of the rollers hitting my back. You can keep that head pillow up if you want to keep your head propped up while you’re reading the owner’s manual when you’re in the chair for the first time. But I like to just sit back, relax – I’m going to get my glasses out if you don’t mind – and I turn on the chair by pressing the power button here, and you’ll see it says ‘Extension’ there, and if you push ‘Auto,’ you will go immediately to the ‘Extension’ program. Now, there’s a bunch of different programs you can kind of scroll through. We’ll basically just do – we’ll do ‘Neck and Shoulders,’ and once you’ve done that, the chair will – whatever program you choose, the chair will recline somewhat.

Alan: If you want to go to a farther zero-gravity position, push it again, and the chair will recline even farther. You can slide this thing in to the pocket on the side of the armrest there, put your arms inside the arm airbags, keep your head back, so the chair can scan you and figure out how tall you are, and where your shoulders are, and let it do its thing. Most of these chairs, you just have to push the power button, and select a program, and you’re good to go. There’s some chairs, where – like the Luraco iRobotics 7, where the push the power button, and it defaults immediately to a program, all you have to do is push one button, and you’re good – but most of these chairs, otherwise, just two simple pushes on the remote, and you’re good to go. So, here I am, I’ve got my experience begun, I could pull out the owner’s manual now, and start reading about the chair, or I could fiddle around with the Bluetooth, and try to get my phone hooked up, so I can play my music over the speakers, but it’s very easy to get started.

Alan: Now, if you let the program run its full length, the chair will just stop in the reclined position, and not all the chairs used to do that. The reason they do it now is because people fall asleep in the chairs, and they want to stay asleep. When the chair starts coming up, when the program’s over, it wakes people up, and it frustrates them, and present company included, you kind of want to just stay asleep. Well, if you end the program in the middle of the program, it will immediately shut off, which I just pushed the power button again, and that’s it. And now you see the chair is restoring back to its neutral position, I can slide that back in to the pouch. I really like this little pouch holder. The problem with it sometimes is that when you put the remote in to the pouch – and we’ll talk about this in another video – the material sometimes hits one of the buttons, and it kind of changes the programming, or whatever it is that you’re, or whatever button it pushes, it affects it. But anyway, you see I’m back up to neutral now, the chair is off, up, and ready for me to get out, and you’re good to go.

Alan: So, that’s the first-time use of the Infinity Altera massage chair, nice chair, good L-track chair, I really like this chair. We like having it in our showroom as well. Infinity chairs are pretty amenable to fitting right, and you’ll find that when you sit on an Infinity chair, whether it’s this one, or it’s the IT-8500, or the Escape, it is a fairly comfortable group of chairs to sit in.
