New Osaki 6000 Massage Chair Video – Foot and Calf Massage

Ottoman Video for Osaki 6000 Massage Chair

I have put out another in a series of videos showcasing the new Osaki 6000 massage chair. As I have mentioned before that the Osaki 6000 is an Inada Sogno look-a-like, but at less than half the cost. For the most part, it is very difficult to see these two chairs being equals, particularly with the fine, discriminating, refined massage of this Japanese-made Sogno, but as far as the foot and calf massage goes…well, it is probably sixes.

This new video goes over the foot and calf massage of the Osaki 6000 massage chair ottoman. A relatively simple component of the whole massage chair experience, but it is something that most folks have come to expect in a massage chair and, for the most part, it is a feature that people love.

The foot and calf massager in the Osaki 6000 is a two part ottoman, one for the calves and one for the feet. It is a purely airbag compression massage. As with airbag massage in most chairs, the compression may be a little intense for some. This chair has an airbag intensity adjustment that eases the pressure if it is so needed, but also can be jacked up to the maximum for those of you who like full-blown compression on your calves and feet.

The soles of the feet have a rubber-like plate with nibs that protrude up into the sole of the user’s feet. It is s form of reflexology, I am sure, but if you ask a reflexologist it is probably pretty weak in the therapy department. Pretty much all massage chairs with foot massage have something similar to these foot plates.

The ottoman on the Osaki 6000 extends quite a few inches for those of you who are taller. The ottoman extension and retraction is all done electronically from the remote control. It is not a manual extender, as with the Inada Sogno massage chair. When you turn on the zero gravity program of the chair, and as the chair reclines and the seat tilts up to 30 degrees, the ottoman will fully extend and then retract to meet your feet and then through sensors it will stop when it has sized up your leg length. Pretty cool, actually. After you are set up for any of the programs, you can adjust the length of the ottoman with the same electronic controls on the remote.

Here is the video now. I hope you find something of interest in it for your massage chair research needs.

So, there you go. I would strongly suggest not wearing shoes or boots of any kind when you use your foot and calf ottoman. They tend to wear out the linen material that lines the foot and calf wells. Bare feet or, as we use in our showroom, little slip on socks are perfect when using any chair with a foot and calf massager feature.
