[SCREEN TEXT: Introduction]
Alan: Hi, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com‘ and today we are going to introduce you to the Osaki OS-4000T massage chair. Now, this chair was the chair that kind of put Osaki on the map. And it was their flagship chair, when they first came out, and because of the price point, which is well under $3000, and the feature set, it became an extremely popular massage chair, and we’ll talk a little bit about it today. The T in the title of the model number, the OS-4000T, refers to foot rollers. The chair, when it first came out on the market, did not have foot rollers, but they added that in there, and when you see a T, you know you’re getting foot rollers. Be careful because the Osaki OS-4000 is still for sale out there in some retailers, and the 4000 does not have the foot rollers. So, OK, well, let’s start at the bottom, and work our way up. The foot rollers, it does have, here, it has an electronic extension in the ottoman, like a lot of the Osaki chairs have. So, when the chair reclines, and the ottoman extends out, automatically, it’ll come back electronically, automatically, and when it’s the right length for your legs, you just push with your toes, and there’s little sensors at the front of the foot massager that will stop the progress, the retracting progress of the ottoman, so it’ll measure your legs just right. This chair also has foot and calf airbags, you’ll see that it has arm airbags on the side, it has hip airbags on the side of the thighs.

Alan: This chair does come in multiple boxes, with the ottoman, and the armrests, coming in separate packaging than the main body of the chair. So, you will – when you do get the chair, and if you don’t get the white glove delivery – you’ll need to disassemble, or unpack the boxes for the ottoman, and the arm airbags, and the armrests, that include the arm airbags, and install the armrests. Now, this also has a head airbag, which – or a headpiece that does use airbags – you’ll see that when I lift the airbag, or the head pads up and out of the way, you see the airbag hose here, and the hose provides air to the headpiece here. Usually, when I have people sit in this chair, I don’t usually have this headpiece on, we usually take this off, so they can feel the rollers working their neck. But this has this, it has a pad here for your mid back, it has another pad for your neck, and then you can lift it up and over, and you can see the linen material that is the only thing that really separates your neck from the rollers of the massage chair. The roller track extends down to the top of the buttocks, in the seat, there’s airbags that inflate to lift your hips from side to side, and also to apply pressure to the buttock. You’ll see here that it has shoulder airbags, with the hard-stop shoulder housing on the side, which will limit some people that have a really broad shoulder, or broad chest, but this, the shoulder airbags are designed to pin the shoulders in from the side, so when the rollers go up and down your back, it kind of tractions your back, and allows you to feel the effects of the rollers a little bit more intensely.

Alan: And I will mention at this point that this chair does not have 3D roller intensity, so you cannot adjust the intensity forward or back, you know, forward, to increase the intensity, or back, to decrease the intensity, what you see is what you get. Of course, when you use these back pads that I just talked about on the neck, if you use any of these pads, it will make the intensity less, of course. But it’s got a decent massage, it’s not what I would consider a deep tissue massage chair, it’s a very, kind of medium intensity, it’s not too soft, it’s not too intense, like Goldilocks, it’s just right, so it’s a nice chair for that. This chair also has a remote control that sits on a pedestal, you can take it out of the carriage, and you’ve got a very large-face remote control, but you also have this little tiny mini-remote, a mini-me, if you will, that you can take and use when the chair is in full recline. You don’t have to – you know, the problem is if you’re in a chair, and the chair is reclined, and you’ve got your remote way up here, and the chair is way back here – you don’t have to lift up to push the buttons. You can just use the mini-remote, from where you’re at, and you can do basic things from here, like adjusting the positioning of the chair, by putting the chair in to zero gravity, or adjusting some of the speed, or width adjustments, or adjustments of the chair, that the chair has. The chair – and here, I’ll shut this off, it also – this chair also has a zero-gravity feature, we talked about the foot rollers already. On the side, you’ll see that the chair has a hard plastic accent piece right here, a little chrome piece around it, and then of course, there’s synthetic leather upholstery, the rest of the chair.

Alan: The chair comes in multiple colors, it doesn’t just come in ‘Brown.’ It comes in ‘Brown,’ ‘Black,’ I believe, ‘Cream,’ and ‘Charcoal,’ as well. And it is a popular chair, and you know what, it’s a well built chair, you know, I’ve sold a lot of these chairs, I get very few complaint from people about the chair breaking down. We actually have four of them over here at the Salt Lake International Airport, that we sold about a year ago, to the airport, for all of the employees that work there, and we haven’t had a breakdown yet, you know, knock on wood. But the chairs are very durable, and they can take a lot of use, and it’s just a great bang for the buck. I mean, you get zero gravity, you get foot rollers, you get hip and shoulder airbags, you’ve got a lot of nice features for a chair that’s well under $3000. So, that’s the introduction to the Osaki OS-4000T, great chair.
