Alan: Hi, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com‘ and today I want to demonstrate to you the calf airbags on the Luraco iRobotics 7 massage chair. Now, it’s more than just airbags – I just, I want to show you more than just the airbags – I want to show you a couple of things about this that make it kind of unique. Number one is, if you look at it, and I’m in the chair because I’m going to show you how this thing can extend, you’ll notice that unlike most chairs, this chair has two components for the calf massage. So, what that means is that more square-inch coverage of your calf and leg is available because of the two segments with airbags. Now, the other thing that this means is that you can get some compression massage closer to the knee, very few massage chairs will massage close to the knee. The other thing that this allows you to do is if you’re a taller person – and Luraco, in their literature – says that you can cater up to a body that’s 6′ 7″. Well, someone that’s 6′ 7″ has got long legs, how do you cater to that? Well, through the leg adjustment, and I’m going to show you how this works now. We’re going to extend the legs out, and the first thing that’s going to extend when you do this with the calf-and-feet ottoman is the feet will go out.

Alan: And then after some point, you’ll notice that the two calf segments will start to separate, so that’ll accommodate an even taller body. So, it really does accommodate a body that’s 6′ 7″, as far as the legs go. Now, if you’ve got a really long torso, sometimes the neck may not get the full massage that we’re looking for, but the calf and legs, you’ll always get a good massage. Now, you see how the calf is now starting to separate here, and my feet are actually coming out, I don’t have terribly long legs though. But honestly, for pretty much anybody that can sit in this chair, the legs will be fit, the calf-and-foot mechanism allows you to fit that. Now, you see how spread out this is? You’ve got distance between the two calf-airbag housings. You got the foot rollers, and airbag housing down there, and look how much it’s spread out. And this is where my feet reach, right there, if they were completely flush, so you got another six inches in there, and I’m about 5′ 9″, 5′ 10″, so definitely, at the very minimum, 6′ 4″, 6′ 5″, and they say it can handle 6′ 7″. And of course, you can always adjust the ottoman down or up, to accommodate longer or shorter legs. But that’s a fascinating feature of this Luraco chair, is the three segments for the foot and calf, and for the calf, having two segments allows for taller bodies, taller, longer legs. It also allows for getting close to the knees massaged, by these airbags, as this one stays solid, and stays static here, and these other ones can dynamically move up and down.

Alan: But it’s really a great feature for leg-and-calf massage, especially for a taller body, it’s a great feature. And even if it’s not a taller body, like my legs, that are shorter, I get broader coverage on the calves than I do on any other massage chair, and I like that. But anyway, that’s the calf-airbag massager for the iRobotics 7 massage chair from Luraco.
