OS-4000TAlan: Hi, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com‘ and today we’re going to talk about the zero-gravity function of the Osaki OS-4000T. It’s a very popular massage chair in the under $3000 price range, and it has a really nice set of features. Well, one of the things that this chair has, that a lot of chairs have, is zero gravity. Zero gravity, and when you hear this term ‘zero gravity,’ or a zero-gravity chair, it means that the seat tilts up at a 30-degree angle, and then the seat and the chair back articulate at a 120-degree angle. Well, if a chair has a true zero-gravity positioning, that’s what you’re going to get. Well, some chairs have – well, some companies have tried to be clever and say ‘Well, our chair has two or three zero-gravity positions – all that means is that the chair reclines farther back, and the seat tilts up a little bit higher. It’s not true zero gravity, true zero gravity are the numbers that I gave you. Well, the Osaki 4000 is one of those chairs, it has two zero-gravity positions. Now, just because the zero gravity may be a misnomer for the second and third position on some – some chairs, it goes three – on this one, there’s two. The convenience of it is that if you push the zero-gravity button again, it’ll tilt back even farther, so you don’t have to hold the ‘Recline’ button until, to a place where you want to go.

Alan: You can do that, bringing up or down the chair back, or the seat, by holding that button, but you just push the zero-gravity button once, it goes to initial zero-gravity position, push it again, and it goes deeper. So, I’m going to show you these two positions on the Osaki 4000T. There’s a button on the remote control called ‘Zero-G.’ I’m going to push that once, and you’ll see, the chair is now stating to recline. That’s all I had to do, just push the button once, and I’m going back to the first zero-gravity position, what I call the true zero-gravity position. Now, once it’s there, and you’ll see, it’ll stop at a particular point – there we go, that’s zero-gravity one – this chair also has the electronic leg extension, so it’s going to measure my legs, that’s irrelevant for this video here. And now, let’s say I want to go to the second zero-gravity position, because I want to recline farther. Well, I push the button again, and you’ll see now that I’m reclining even farther. Now, this is not a true zero-gravity position, but it is a farther recline, and so if you want to go back farther, you push the button the second time. That is how the zero-gravity function works on the Osaki OS-4000T. Why would you want to go farther recline, farther zero-gravity positioning?

[SCREEN TEXT: ‘www.massage-chair-relief.com’ 888-259-5380]

Alan: Because, well, one of the main reasons is when you recline farther back on a chair like the 4000T, that doesn’t have a 3D roller, or an intensity adjustment on the rollers, you can recline the chair back farther, and use the power of gravity to pull your body in to the chair, and the weight of your body then goes in to the rollers. And so, it kind of affects a stronger rolling feeling, a stronger massage feeling from the rollers. So, that’s what the great value of the extra zero-gravity positioning is. The first zero-gravity position, the true zero-gravity position, the benefit of that is, it puts your body in what they call a weightless state, or a non-stressful, non-compressive state of the spine. It balances out the weight of the body, so you don’t have all the weight going down on to your low back. But that’s about it for the zero-gravity positioning of the Osaki OS-4000T.
