What Makes Each Massage Chair Unique?

Not all massage chairs are created equally! We carry so many different models of massage chairs, and each one has it’s own unique feature which each company has employed to try to differentiate that chair from the competition. I thought I would make a list of each of our top-selling and/or game-changing chairs and briefly list the feature(s) that differentiates them from the rest of the pack or, at the very least, makes them unique. Now some  of these chairs innovated a technology that was very unique at the time, but have since been imitated by others on this list. I will mention both in that case.

Inada Sogno

1. Inada Sogno – I’ll start with the grand-daddy of massage chair. The features that made and still make this chair unique are the following: airbags in the headpiece that massage the trapezia muscles, innovative body styling (that has been copied ad nauseam by other manufacturers), full arm massage, dreamwave technology in the seat, 3D massage technology, airbags that massage the IlioTibial Bands (ITB’s), a 3 year parts and labor, in-home warranty, Japanese-made, leather upholstery option.

2. Inada Yume – Rocking motion of the chair, Thera-Elliptical Kneading in the calves, Japanese-made, lights on the exterior of the chair body (chromotherapy).

3. Panasonic MA70 – Heated jade rollers, gripping motion of the rollers on the top of the shoulders, rotating ottoman and back pad to create a non-massage chair look, ITB airbag massage.

4. HT-7450 – Zero gravity integrated into a massage chair, obscured calf massage wells, roller intensity adjustment.

5. HT-9500x – Looks like a normal recliner, ottoman that hides underneath the chair seat, roller intensity adjustment, leather upholstery.

6. All Human Touch massage chairs that employ foot and calf massage – Rubber paddles, rather than airbags.

7. Infinity IT-8500 – Mechanical foot rollers, swiveling seat, shoulder airbags that pin the shoulders back (1st innovated by Inada in their discontinued Doctor’s Choice 3A massage chair), “inversion” (chair reclines to near horizontal – 178 degrees), MP3 music system.

8. Infinity Iyashi – 49″ roller track that extends down to the buttocks and thighs, unique body styling, sequential arm airbag deployment, TV-like remote control, smart phone app that integrates with a built-in music system, sliding base.

IT-9800

9. Infinity IT-9800 – True inversion (recline past horizontal – 184 degrees), calf swing, no airbags, leather upholstery, Taiwan-made.

10. Osaki OS-7075R – Mechanical foot rollers, unique body styling, headband airbag massage, Thai stretch program, full body heat.

11. Osaki OS-3D Pro Dreamer – Mechanical foot rollers, 3D massage technology, dome lik e cover over back of chair, music system.

12. Omega Montage Pro – 5 year parts and labor, in-home warranty, full-body heat, music system, mechanical foot rollers, foot magnets.

13. Omega Serenity/Skyline – Very modern styling without the outward appearance of a massage chair.

14. iRobotics 6 – Full arm massage, airbags that address the traps, 2 year parts and labor, in-home warranty, made in the USA, music system, 104 airbags, 3D massage technology.

Now you have a better idea of what makes each chair unique in comparison to another model. I hope this helps in your massage chair research.
