Scientists operating out of Brazil found that sunflower seeds have the effect of reducing the amount of free radicals in a personโs bloodstream. Pending further research, doctors might soon be recommending the consumption of sunflower seeds to reduce a personโs risk factor for contracting illnesses like heart disease or cancer.
