A new study conducted by researchers from the University of California Los Angeles found an interesting link between older adults’ risk factor for contracting dementia and how often they participate in activities like yoga and meditation.
The study found that by participating in a three month yoga and meditation course, adults over the age of 65 can significantly reduce their risk factor for developing mild cognitive impairment (MCI), an important finding given that up to 20 percent of US adults are expected to have some form of MCI.
