Research shows that stress may make you more empathetic of a person. A study was performed where 80 men were given hard tasks with deadlines, while getting constant negative feedback. These men showed more empathy for painful pictures than the control group. This is not necessarily good or bad. Feeling stress can create problems with how you feel when you have no stake in what is happening to the other person. Stress can be good or bad depending on what is going on.
