A new study conducted by researchers operating out of the University of Missouri- Columbia found that children who are concerned about the size and density of their social networks can experience high levels of stress than those that do not.
As high levels of childhood stress can lead to memory and behavioral problems later in life, parents should make it a point to explain to their children that one doesn’t need a large social network to be happy.
