A recently published study has found a link between stress and Alzheimer’s disease. When we become stressed, our bodies’ releases a hormone called beta-amyloid that causes small bits of plaque to clump together, which inhibit brain cell communication. With this new data in mind, researchers are now developing an Alzheimer’s treatment that will disrupt the production of beta-amyloid before It has a chance to cause irreparable harm.
