Alan: Hi, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com‘ and today we’re going to talk about, and demonstrate, the arm airbags of the Titan TP-Pro Alpine massage chair. Now, most massage chairs come with airbags in the arms nowadays, but the more traditional, classic airbag compression involves putting your arms in, with your palms face down – your hands and palms face down – and airbags compressing, from the top, and the bottom of your arm, to get the necessary compression. So, your arms will slide in something like this, airbags will compress down, and up, on the forearm, and the wrist, and the hands, and you’ll get your compression that way, but your hands are essentially like this. Well, the Pro Alpine has added a little change to that. What they have, is they have these slots that you just put your arms in like this, and this is a little bit more of a natural, ergonomic, postural position. When you have your hands like this, that’s how your hands should be when you walk, and when you stand. Your hands should not be like this, so posturally, this is more correct, but some people aren’t quite used it, and it seems a little odd, but it is actually very, very comfortable to have your hands in this position.

Alan: So, what these airbags have, is they have air cells at the top, and the bottom of the forearm, and the hands, and they’ll both inflate at the same time, and then later, they’ll inflate sequentially, so that one is – the forearm is inflating, then the lower arm is inflating, and it’ll go back and forth to kind of simulate the – like milking of the arms, to increase circulation. Well, let’s turn it on, and have a look, and it’ll start on this side first. So, we’ll turn this on, and you can see the arms immediately inflating, and grabbing my hand, and my arm. Now, if I take my hand out, you – but now, of course, you can see more motion, because there’s nothing in there to restrict the movement of the airbags – but you can see the airbags squeezing together, I can put my arm in there. Well, it’s hard to get it in now, when the airbags are partially inflated, but yeah, I can get my arm in there, and you can see the motion. OK, now it’s inflating on this side, now you can see the arm in there a little bit easier. So, that is the arm airbag of the Titan TP-Pro Alpine, very simple to use, very easy to use.

Alan: You’ll notice that this chair, and most chairs, do not have both arms being inflated upon at the same time, because if there is an emergency, and you got to get your arms out, and you can’t get them out because of the tight squeeze, then there may be some trouble. So, they always leave one free, and allow you to be able to manipulate the remote control, or whatever you need to do to get out of the chair. Now, you’ll see it’s alternating back to this arm, this arm’s free, but that is – and now it’s inflating this side again – so now, it changes the sequence, changes the timing, that’s typically how the arm airbags work on any massage chair. So, that is the arm airbag massage of the Titan TP-Pro Alpine massage chair, great chair. The arm airbags are very nice, a little different twist to it, with the slots, from the top, ergonomically correct, but not – people aren’t quite used to seeing that kind of an arm airbag – but we kind of like it.
