A new year is upon us and we, at Massage Chair Relief, have a lot of wonderful things planned for 2014. I will keep you posted throughout the year as new things are introduced or changed. The Weidner family had a fun, massage chair filled New Year's Eve at the showroom. My whole family came to the showroom, including grandchildren, and we sat on chairs for a couple of hours before everyone went their separate ways to bring in the New Year. I will say that we used up every chair in the showroom! Here are a couple of pics from the event (I absolutely love the picture on the left of my granddaughter Olive on the Panasonic 30007...what an angel!)...
BLACK IYASHI COLOR DISCONTINUED
I just received word yesterday that the black interior color of the Iyashi has been discontinued. They were to have received a new shipment at the end of January, but that shipment will not include the black color option because of the lack of interest in the color. That surprises me, as I have had quite a few black orders since the color was introduced late last year. On a similar note, I have not heard anything yet about a black EXTERIOR color for the Iyashi. I get asked that a lot by customers, but have nothing to report at this time, other than Infinite Therapeutics and the manufacturing plant in China are experimenting with it.
As you may or may not know, Massage Chair Relief is donating a portion of every chair sale to the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help a precious child receive their wish. We are currently trying to raise $7500 for our first year (which began November 1, 2103) and we are presently helping a little girl named Samantha get her wish, which is a backyard patio where she can sit in the shade and enjoy the outdoors. You can see her picture and read her story here...
At this present time we have donated close to $3000! I have been updated by the Make-A-Wish folks that Samantha's wish has been granted and that our goal for her in cash donations is $5192.81. When we hit that goal, which, at the pace we are going, shouldn't take too long, we will be given a new Wish Child for whom we can donate. This is such a magnificent project and mission. We are so proud to be affiliated with Make-A-Wish and these precious children. If you purchase a massage chair from Massage Chair Relief, a portion of your chair purchase will go to granting a wish. But, if you choose not to get a chair or decide to buy from another retailer, I would still ask that you find it in your heart to donate something, anything, to Samantha's wish. Your donation is tax-deductible and for such a worthwhile cause.
UPDATE: Here is an excerpt from a letter I received last week from Make-A-Wish about Samantha's wish...
"Hi Dr. Alan,
I have all the information for you on Samantha!
Samantha did have her wish granted and see the new photos above. You can update the website with them! She and her family love her wish to have her patio for outdoors with some shade that can move over her!
We would love you to promote finishing this wish cost for Samantha’s wish is typically how we do it with our fundraising. The total cash cost is what we want to have covered so you are recognized as a full sponsor to adopt her wish! Then I am happy to move on with another wish child with you! You are doing great and over half way there."
