More stress could mean wider waistline for women: Study

Stress is present in anyone, but women take it to heart more than men. Researchers have studied the relationship between obesity and life events in middle-aged or older women. These women were also researched depending on the type of stress from traumatic events or negative life events that have happened in the past. It showed that the women who had a least one traumatic event had at least a 11 percent increase in obesity compared to women with no traumatic events.
