Massage Chair Industry Update Video – May 7, 2013

Transcript of Video Titled “Massage Chair Industry Update – May 7th, 2013”

Alan: Hi, this is Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com‘ and today we are doing our massage chair industry update for May 7th, 2013, and there’s not a lot to talk about today. We’re going to talk about stock status, and then I’m going to ask your opinion on something.

[SCREEN TEXT: Stock Status]

Alan: First of all, the ‘Black’ iRobotics 6 from Luraco is back-ordered until June. The ‘Black’ and ‘Dark Brown’ IT-9800 from Infinite Therapeutics is back-ordered, but that will only be for another week. They’re going to be phasing out the ‘Butter’ and ‘Taupe’ colors, so when those are out of stock they will be gone, they will not be shipping in any new ‘Butter’ and ‘Taupe’ IT-9800s. The Panasonic MA70, as I mentioned before, is back-ordered until June. The Inada chairs are all in stock, there is some inventory pressure on the ‘Black’ leather Inada Sogno. Human Touch is good on all of their chairs, and apparently, Omega is good on their stock. I’ve not heard back from Osaki. I asked them yesterday for an update, and I’ve not heard back from them, so I don’t know what the stock status is on their chairs. I know that they are usually back-ordered on one or two colors of certain models, but I don’t have any idea what their stock status is. So, the bottom line is if you want a chair, just order it, regardless of stock status, to make sure that you do get one on the next shipment in.

[SCREEN TEXT: Any Input on Superior Massage Chairs?]

Alan: I’ve been asked by Superior Massage Chairs to carry their chair on our website. Now, I don’t know much about that chair. I know it appears to be another kind of a Sogno look-alike as far as the body frame goes, and it is a Chinese-made chair. I don’t know much about the features. I know of one customer that purchased one. He just got a very, very good price on it from someone that had purchased one and was selling it, but he didn’t really have much input on how the chair worked yet. He seemed to be happy with it. I will be going to southern California later this month to visit some suppliers, and I will be going down to visit Superior Massage Chairs in San Diego to sit on their chair and get a feeling for it, and get a feeling for the company. If any of you have any experience with the Superior massage chair, which is a relatively new chair, it’s only been out for a number of months, please feel free to give me a call, or you know, write something on our blog, or send me an email, I’d love to hear your experience of that chair before I decide to carry it or not. So, please feel free to get a hold of me with any information you might have on the Superior chair. Well, that is just about it for massage chairs. It’s not a terribly busy week, nothing new to report. The iRobotics 6 has a new color, the ‘Caramel’ color, so now they’ve got the ‘Chocolate Brown,’ the ‘Black,’ and the ‘Caramel.’

[SCREEN TEXT: I Will Be Visiting Luraco and Osaki in Texas]

Alan: I will be going down to visit Luraco later in May to see how things work over there. I’m still getting some push back from some other massage chair makers that claim that their chair is a Chinese chair, and that it’s not really made in the U.S. Well, I am going to be going down there at the end of May to see how things work, and see if I can see how the manufacturing process goes for the things that are made in the U.S., their tooling and their manufacturing lines. I’m very curious to see that, you know, to verify for sure, and feel good about touting this chair as an American-made chair. When I’m down there, I’ll probably also visit Osaki, or Titan Chairs, which is – I believe – the parent company of the Osaki models. I will check things out there as well – and hopefully have an interview or two with some people, or at least see how things work – and get back to you on, of course, this update, and on my blog regarding what I experience. So, I guess that’s about it. If you have any questions, feel free to give me a call. You can reach me on my toll-free number at 888-259-5380, and as I’ve said before and I’ll continue to say, I’m always available. If you call, and I’m not on the phone, I’ve got my wife for the time being, is answering overflow calls if I can’t answer them, and we have another gal that will also be available to handle calls. So, we’ll always have someone that will be able to answer the call for you, and then they will let me know if it’s a message that I need to return, and I’ll get back to you. So, feel free to get a hold of me anytime. You can also visit us on our website, visit us on our Facebook page, please we ask you that if you do find this video helpful, or informative, to share us. Share us on your Facebook and Twitter accounts, ‘Like’ us on Facebook and on YouTube, and ‘+1’ us on Google Plus if you get the chance to do that as well. We would appreciate that support. Again, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com,’ and that is the end of our massage chair industry update for May 7th, 2013. We’ll see you in two weeks, bye bye.
