Alan: Hi, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com‘ and today we are going to introduce you to the Osaki OS-4D Pro JP Premium. It’s a mouthful, it’s a long name, we call it the JP Premium, but it is a chair that is actually manufactured by a company called Fujiiryoki, which not a lot of people are familiar with, but Fujiiryoki is actually the oldest massage chair company in the world. When massage chairs were invented in the mid to late-1950s, Fujiiryoki was the first massage chair company to be created to produce and sell massage chairs. And this chair is the only chair that we carry that is 100% made in Japan, and it’s labeled under the Osaki brand. As a matter of fact, on the side of the chair, you can see here ‘Osaki Japan,’ as its name, but that is the only chair that is made in Japan, and thatโs kind of a unique feature about it. The chair is a smaller chair, it doesnโt fit tall people really well. It’s ideal for a smaller-body frame, which you might find more of in Japan, and so the chair, if you’re maybe over 6′, 6′ 1″, 6′ 2″, you’re going to feel that it’s a little small for you. And the chair, like most Japanese chairs, if not all the Japanese chairs that we carry, does not have a lot of fancy, extra, you know, features, like a lot of the Chinese chairs have.

Alan: It doesnโt have foot rollers, it doesnโt have zero gravity, it doesnโt have an L-track, but for what you get out of this chair, the massage is quality, and the way that the chair uses the airbags and the rollers in concert is fantastic. And thatโs something that โ OK, a lot of the less expensive chairs, maybe the Chinese-made chairs, they have airbags going on the arms, and the legs, and in the seat, and then theyโve got the rollers going up and down โ they donโt always work well in concert. Well, the Japanese chairs, one of the cool things about the Japanese chairs, be it Inada, or Panasonic, or the Osaki JP Premium, is that the airbags work really well with the rollers to elicit the therapeutic response that it’s trying to get out of you, and thatโs a very nice feature about the JP Premium. So, anyway, let me just show to you a couple of things that are highlighted in this chair. Youโve got a neck pillow, you can lift this up and over, and youโve got linen between your neck and the rollers, so you can get a good, stiff neck massage, and the intensity of the rollers is good. It’s a good intensity, it’s a deep, more of kind of โ I think of more of a Shiatsu-type of massage โ a deep, maybe a little slower, deep massage. But you can also lift this pad up and over, and have the whole back exposed to just the rollers separated by a thin sheet of linen. And then you also have arm airbags that work on the top of the armrests, thatโs in an ergonomically-correct way, with your hands up like this, easy to put them in, easy to get them out.

Alan: You also have hip airbags here, you have shoulder airbags. Now, I’ve talked about this before, but there’s different types of shoulder airbags. There’s airbags that squeeze you from the sides to hold your torso in while the rollers go up and down your back. Youโve got airbags from the front that pin the shoulders back, and then youโve got airbags in the back that push one shoulder forward, and the other shoulder forward to induce a rotation of the torso. This chair has the airbags in the back, and you can see them here, and they inflate to rotate the torso. You have airbags in the seat, you have airbags in the feet, and in the calves. Now, the remote control is โ as a matter of fact, the remote control is reminiscent of maybe like one of the Osaki โ or sorry, not one of the Osaki, but one of the Inada-type chairs. It’s got the main auto-programs up here, and then it’s got a flap that opens up with other manual features below the flap, and there’s a lot of buttons, and it can be a little intimidating, like most massage chairs can seem intimidating when you first pick up the remote. But it’s a fairly easy chair to use, and we will talk about that in a moment, or in another video. So, there’s a pouch on this side, and there’s also a pouch on this side where you can put the remote control, and store it when it’s not in use. But that is the Osaki OS-4D Pro JP Premium massage chair, built by Fujiiryoki, imported by Osaki, under the Osaki brand name. I hope you found the video helpful.
