Alan: Hi, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com‘ and today we’re going to introduce you to the new Osaki JP Premium 4S, which is different from the Osaki OS-4D Pro JP Premium. This is a newer model, and this model is also built by Fuji Medical in Japan. It’s a 100% Japanese-made chair, it’s a newer design, a little bit more modern-looking design, and you can tell from the side, if you take a look at the way the body is designed, and you can see the JP 4D, which is an older design, next to it, they’re different, This is a little bit sleeker design, a little bit newer design. The chair has 3D rollers, just like the other one does. It has a roller track that extends from the neck down to the low back. It is not an L-track chair, but the rollers do go down low, and it really hits that SI joint, the sacroiliac joint, down in this area, it hits it really, really well. It’s a very nice massage chair, and this is 100% Japanese made. The roller system quality is impeccable, it’s a fantastic roller system. It doesn’t feel loose, or – you know, sometimes when you sit on some of the Chinese chairs, you get a feeling like the rollers aren’t quite solid enough, or they’re a little loose, or a little, you know, a little, what’s the word, maybe a little bit more prone to extra movement – these Japanese chairs are tight, and they massage really, really well.

Alan: The chair is not great for tall people. There’s kind of a bar across here, where your head will hit, and where the roller track will stop, so if you’re 6′ or taller, you might find this being a little bit small for you, also for the legs. You can adjust the leg lengths, at some points, in some of the massage programs, but the default leg length is set, and if you’ve got really long legs, it’s not going to work for you. So, we recommend that this chair, same with the 4D, the other one, that it would be used maybe by people under 6′ tall. The armrest design’s a little different. If you look at the armrests, they look more like a regular armrest, but inside, you see where the arm airbags go, and so, where you can get massaged. So, you can slide your arms in from the back, in like that, to get that hand-and-arm massage. But then when you take your hands out, it kind of hides it a little, it’s a little more discreet than, of course, the 4D, which has just open slots. This does not have foot rollers or zero gravity. At this point, in 2016, none of the Japanese chairs have that, but it has a nice calf-and-foot airbag massage, but not a roller massage. There’s airbags in the waist and seat, there’s a bunch of airbags, shoulders as well, very nice. Now, what’s kind of cool about this chair that I like is the remote control. It’s a pedestal remote, but the remote control is a touchscreen, and I’ll just turn it on really quick just to show you.

Alan: You push that button to get it going. The Osaki spread comes up, but then you can just push whatever program you want, and it’s all by finger touch, which is fantastic, and more and more of the chairs are going to a – kind of a – more and more chairs are going to a touchscreen model, so that’s very convenient about that. Again, the chair is built for a smaller body, not too wide either. You can see the hip airbags down here, that’s maybe an 18 or a 19-inch seat, but overall, the quality is fantastic, Japanese chairs are. Now, this chair is a number one-selling chair in Japan, according to the information that Osaki’s got from Fuji Medical. It’s one of the oldest massage companies in the world that built this chair, and again, it’s a very, very popular chair in Japan, the number one-selling chair. Also, very much available, and very frequently found in hospitals, and other commercial businesses as well. But that is an introduction to the Osaki JP Premium 4S, and I get the numbers mixed up between the 4D and the 4S, but this is 4S. A very nice chair, love it, great Japanese quality, but ideal for people under 6′ tall. Well, I hope you found that video helpful.
