Infinity Warranty – Fine Toothed Comb (Part 4 of 8)

The Infinity warranty isn’t quite as verbose as the warranties I have previously reviewed. That’s good news for both of us…easier for me to write about and easier for you to read through.

Here are the salient points:

1. In a nutshell, the warranty covers parts and labor for the first year, with in-home service available if needed; 2nd year includes parts costs and “Structural Framework”; 3rd year covers just “Structural Framework”.

2. Extended warranties over parts costs only….no labor included in the extended coverage.

3. During the 1st year of service and parts coverage, the repair or replacement of any defective part, including in-home service, will be done at the sole discretion of Infinite Therapeutics (IT). You see, some things are so easy to fix or replace that it would be silly to send out a technician to do it if you can do it easily enough on your own.

4. If a particular part is not available, IT will replace your product with a similar product, who’s retail replacement value will, in no way, ย exceed the original net price paid for the product. So, if you think you will get an IT-8500 to replace an IT-7800, you have another thing coming!

5. If you need in-home service, IT will send the necessary parts to your home at no charge to you and then send a technician to your home to do the repair, all at no cost to you.

6. During the parts only coverage, IT will provide the parts at no cost to you, but you will be responsible for shipping, duties, and brokerage fees (if applicable).

7. The “Structural Framework” is limited to the wooden frame and/or welded parts of the frame. Again, any replacement parts for the Structural Framework sent to you will be paid for by IT, but shipping, brokerage and duty fees, if any, will be your responsibility.

8. In-home service is available in the US and major metropolitan areas in Canada and must be pre-approved and authorized personnel performing the warranty coverage.

9. The warranty does not cover the following things: loss or damage resulting from improper installation, unauthorized repairs (be careful if you try to crack the chair open and do it yourself!), alterations and modifications of the original condition of the chair, improper use of electrical/power supply, loss of power or electrical disturbances or power surgesย (we always recommend using a good surge protector), dropped product, malfunction as a result of misuse or unreasonable use, failure to follow operating instructions, transportation damage, theft, abuse, neglect, vandalism, environmental conditions.

10. Defects to the products do not include softening or hardening of the foam or filing composites in pads and pillows, fading/wear/pilling of fabric, natural markings, grain or dye variations in leather, failure of ‘attach points” like stitching, velcro, and zippers.

Well, that about does it for the Infinite Therapeutics warranty. I hope it’s pretty clear. A lot of the stuff is similar to what you see in other warranties, but there are always some little differences that you need to be aware of.
