OS-4D Pro JP PremiumAlan: Hi, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com‘ and today I’m going to demonstrate how to use the Osaki OS-4D Pro JP Premium massage chair. We’ll just call it the JP Premium, it’s so much easier to say it that way. We wanted to show you how to use it for the first time, so when you get the chair, you don’t feel like a complete idiot getting started. All you have to do is pull the remote out from the pouch on the side – and let me just put on my glasses so I can see what I’m doing – and the first thing you’ll want to do is push the on/off button. Now, on the Japanese chairs, there’s a stop button also. It’s a red button. It’s on the Inada chairs, it’s on the Panasonic chairs, and it’s on this chair. When you push that, it shuts everything down. You can’t recline, you can’t lift the chair in to another position, nothing works, it’s dead. So, we try not to use that button, unless we, you know, there’s an emergency, and we got to shut the whole thing down. But the on-and-off button is what you’ll want to use to get started. So, we push that button, you’ll see that the ottoman is coming up a little bit here. So, and it’s a manual extension of the ottoman, it’s not electronic, you can just push the legs in and out, and it’ll come up. And then, you’ll notice that the chair back didn’t recline at all. So, you can actually recline the chair a little bit too, if you want to recline it to a more comfortable position, and the ‘Recline’ button was right here, I’m sorry. And then here are your flashing lights telling you that these are the program options you have to get started.

Alan: Let’s push ‘Whole Body,’ and let the massage begin. And so, we push that button on, push that button, now the chair is on its way. I can feel the rollers going, I can feel the airbags inflating, and you’re on your way. So, the only thing you really needed to do to get started was push the on-and-off button on, if you want to change the positon of the chair, recline it a bit, and then select the program that you want, and let it do its thing. In the middle of the program, you’re welcome to decrease, or you know – decrease the angle of the recline, or increase the angle of the recline – you know, change the angle of the ottoman, whatever you want to do, you’re fine, you’re good to go. And so, if you want to shut it off, before it actually expires, the program expires, bring the remote back up, and you push the on-and-off button again, and now the chair stops massaging. I can feel the rollers moving back to where they begin, and that’s what they call ‘parking the rollers,’ but the chair does not reset to its neutral, default position.

Alan: To do that, there’s a button here on the remote called ‘Reset,’ and when you push that button, it brings the chair back up to neutral, and then you’re done, and you can hop out of the chair. That’s how easy it is to use the JP Premium chair from Osaki. Fantastic chair, 100% built in Japan, by a company called Fujiiryoki, which is the oldest massage chair company in the world, and a great chair. It doesn’t fit a huge body, but for me, I’m about 5′ 9″, 5′ 10″, and that area is just perfect. Well, I hope you found this video helpful.
