Alan: Hi, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com‘ and today we’re going to demonstrate how the arm airbags work on the Osaki OS-3D Pro Cyber massage chair. Now, if you take a look at the airbags, right away you can see, if you can zoom in, you’ll see the little rubber knobules on the material, and the idea of the knobules, as it is with the Iyashi, is that you can, the little knobules will kind of grip your arm when it’s in, either your arm, with or without a sleeve, but it’ll grip the arm, so it’ll hold it in place. Sometimes, with some massage chairs, the airbags will inflate, and as they inflate, they kind of squeeze and squish your arms out of the airbags, so you always have to consciously, kind of keep your arms outward in the airbags. Well, these little knobules serve to keep your arms in, keep them kind of stuck inside the armrest, so you don’t have to worry about that.

Alan: So, let’s show really how this thing works. What I’ve done is, I’ve turned the, I’ve actually turned the power on, and the chair is reclined to the preset starting position. What I’m going to do is I’m going to push the ‘Arm Airbag’ button, and immediately you’ll see the arm start to inflate, and I hope you can see that, you can zoom in. See how the fingers have inflated, and now the wrist is inflating, you can see my hand being inflated. Now, there’s inflation on the bottom and on the top, and see now it’s sequentially, now my forearm just went, while my wrist is also being squeezed, and now my fingers are being squeezed, so the whole forearm is now being squeezed. Of course, the further you push your arm in, the higher up the forearm you’re going to get massaged. So, now it’s in and out, in and out, and then it releases, now the whole arm is released, and then it’ll do the same thing on the left side. So, now we see the left, the same thing happening on the left side, arm airbag’s inflating, deflating, first on the fingers, then on the palm and wrist, and then on the forearm, and it does it back and forth like that on most massage chairs.

Alan: Not very many massage chairs will have both arm airbags inflating at the same time because if there’s an emergency, and you have to get out of your chair immediately, the last thing you want are two airbags pinning your arms in, and you can’t get out, or it’s going to be a struggle to get out, that’s a real bother. So, they’ll start on one side, and then the other, one side, then the other, and again, the good airbags, and I consider these good airbags, will do a sequential inflation. So, this one does wrist, wrist and hand, and then it does, or sorry, hand and palm, and then it’ll do the wrist, and then it’ll do the forearm, from side to side. That is the arm airbag of Osaki OS-3D Pro Cyber.
