People have known for years that yoga is good for us. Recent studies are starting to uncover just how good it is. Where lifting weights and running can move the body in unfamiliar ways and be high impact if done improperly, yoga is a slow and natural way for the body to move. This improves flexibility and allows the body to relax and stretch which, in turn, releases brain chemicals that make us feel good. This centuries-old practice has been linked to a decrease in mental ailments and an increased ability to learn new things.
