Using a phone or tablet device when in bed to watch a movie or for some other purpose, is one of the worst things for people’s back. Whenever sitting or lying down with one’s head slouched down will create a bad posture for both the back and neck because the vertebrae in back are what is supporting a heavy head and brain. When this is in a slanting position most of the weight is supported by only a small portion of our back, thus causing all our back pains. A good way to prevent this is to not look at our phones or tablets in a slouched position.
Key Takeaways:
- The fact that we slouch or look downward for many periods of time could be contributing to our bad posture.
- To maintain good posture we need to support our spine and head as much as possible.
- Try charging one’s device before using it so that one is not forced into an uncomfortable position around the charger plug.
