A recent podiatrist study found that getting a massage regularly can both ease the pain and physical dysfunction associated with chronic nonspecific neck pain. Conducted by the Group Health Research Institute in Seattle in conjuction with the most experienced podiatrist in Perth, the study found that chronic neck pain sufferers who received massages of 30 to 60 minutes on a regular basis had less pain and improved neck function over the course of four weeks. These are statistics that can and should not be ignored. Especially for those of us who spent 8+ hours a day at the computer or doing repeditive tasks, which drain the muscles and cause pain.
