I’ll go into detail on these notes next week in my biweekly Massage Chair Industry Update, but I thought I’d mention them here in our blog as well.
1. Osaki has made a modification to their popular OS-4000 model. They have added mechanical foot rollers. Of course, foot rollers have become all the rage as of late and we see more and more models coming out that include this feature. Well, Osaki just added it to an already popular chair. I’ve not experienced the foot rollers in this upgraded model, now called the OS-4000T, but I am told that they are similar to the foot rollers of the OS-3D Pro Cyber and Dreamer models. That means it is not too intense, like the rollers of the OS-7075R tend to be.
They have also made a slight change to the upholstery of the OS-4000. I’m not completely clear on the change, but it has to do with the texture of the material. I’ll post a pic when I get my hands on one.
2. I recently learned that Omega has discontinued the Serenity and Montage Premier models. I had a Serenity in my showroom
fora while and was not a big fan of it for a couple of reasons. The white upholstery faded with time into a yellowish color and the base of the chair was plywood covered with plastic. I didn’t realize it was plywood until I heard a crack when I sat on it and began to see wood chip on the carpet. I knew something was up! Needless to say, I removed the chair from my showroom and to hear the news of it’s demise at Omega does not surprise me in the least. I will say, though, that it was a very cool and contemporary-looking chair and I was quite excited about it when it came to the market.
3. I received a returned chair yesterday. It is an espresso-colored HT-7450 chair from Human Touch. It is in perfect condition and packed, ready to ship to the right person. The price of this chair is $3499, but I have it available for $2899. Email me at alan@massage-chair-relief.com or just call our toll-free number 888-259-5380. Factory warranty and shipping included!
