Transcript of Video Titled “Osaki 6000 Massage Chair – Music System”
Alan: Hi, this is Dr. Alan Weidner from 'Massage-Chair-Relief.com' and today we are talking about the Osaki 6000 music system and I kind of like this feature. I'm a big music buff, and I think music and massage are a wonderful combination. What this chair has, what it'll do is it'll take your mp3, or mp4, or mobile phone music, and if you can, if you have a jack on the device that will fit a 3.5-millimeter headphone plug, it'll work, and if it's an mp3 or mp4 or mobile device download, that will work on this system. And what you'll do is you'll plug it in to this little cord, that's the 3.5-millimeter headphone jack cord, and then when you turn on the chair, you will find that there is a button here called, well, first of all, you don't have to push anything on the remote yet.
Alan: All you need to do is turn on the music on your cell phone or your mp3 player, or whatever device you're using, and you adjust the volume, and where you want, the song you want to play, and where you want to play it from, everything is adjusted from your device. And the music will play back over these speakers, and I'll put this pillow out of the way so you can see this, but there are speakers, stereo speakers, on either side of where your head is. And so, it's in this shoulder airbag component, and so you've got a speaker there and a speaker there. When the music's playing, this is kind of nifty, you've got a thing called a 'Music Sync', and when you push the 'Music Sync +' button, it will turn on vibration, in the seat and in the waist. And it'll beat to the rhythm of the bass of the music that you're listening to, and I'm going to show you how this is done in just a moment, but there's 6 different levels of intensity of the vibration massage; so if you want it more intense you can push this 6 different times to reach each of the 6 different levels; if you want less intensity, push the '–' sign until you're at the level that's comfortable to you or until it's off.
Alan: When you've reached the bottom one, you'll see that the vibration turns off on the LED display. So, that is the music system. Now, I'm going to show you how it works, so that you can see me actually using it, and I'm going to take off my shoes. By the way, if you have a massage chair, whether it's this chair or any chair that has a foot and calf massage, particularly the foot portion, take your shoes off because if you use shoes all the time when you're sitting in the chair, it's going to wear out the synthetic leather or real leather if you got a chair that has leather, and there's nothing uglier than frayed synthetic or real leather on your chair, it just makes it look ugly, so to protect it, take your shoes off when you sit in the massage chair. So, what I'm going to do is I'm going to take my cell phone out, and I've got a 'DROID', of course, you can use an 'iPhone' or any other phone that has the mp3, mp4, or mobile phone music app, and you plug it in to the headphone jack there, and what I'm going to do is I'm going to turn on the chair.
Alan: And with this chair when you turn it on, it presets to a position where you can begin massaging right away. It's not fully upright and the ottoman is not completely down, it's a preset position. You can adjust that position, and we talk about that on another video, when we talk about positioning of the chair, but just know that it'll recline the minute you push the power button on, it'll recline slightly. And then what you do is you find the song that you like, and I'm from Alberta, Canada, I'm from Edmonton, and so, there's a song, well you know what? We're not going to use that song. Scratch that, we're going to use a song that, from a group that I loved as a teenager called 'Supertramp', and the reason I like this is because it's got a pretty good bass feature, and when the bass comes on, I can really feel the vibration. So we turn that on, and there's the music, now, one thing that we noticed is when you turn on the 'Music Sync', which I just did, and I want full vibration, so now it's up all the way. When the bass hits, you will feel it, the higher the volume of the music. There, I just felt that.
Alan: Now, the louder the music, the more you're going to feel the vibration, and I can hear the music, of course, coming through these speakers, but here comes some more bass. It's fantastic. I just felt the vibration in my buttock and in my waist, it's pretty cool, and when the bass gets really going, you'll feel the vibration synchronize to your music. It's fantastic. Anyways, when you're done with setting your phone, and hooking it up, and getting it ready to go, and I'll just turn it off so you don't have to listen to the music and me talking at the same time, you can put your cell phone on the remote, right there, and other than adjusting the 'Sync', you can just lie back and relax and enjoy the music. Of course, I've got the head piece back, the pillow out of the way, but you can listen to the music while you're sitting on the chair. It's kind of a nifty feature, I love listening to music when I'm getting a massage, soothing music, or whatever music, and you can do that with this chair.
