Take it from the most stressed man in the United States, President Obama, it’s important to be able to manage stress! Huffington Post asked Obama what he thinks the most important ways of managing stress are, and he had a few things to credit.
He first credited morning exercise and his Hawaiian roots for his ability to keep a calm demeanor in such a high-stress environment. But his family is what Obama says really keeps him grounded. He says he’s very consistent about spending time with family, and having teenage daughters keeps him in check and even teaches him something about perspective!
Obama of course realizes that everyone always thinks something terrible is happening and that the world is ending, but says it’s important to take the long view, instead of panicking about what’s happening day by day. The Gulf oil spill is a great example of that!
