Long-lasting relief may be on the way for those suffering from chronic low back pain. The treatment, intradiscal biacuplasty (IDB), uses needles to destroy the nerve fibers which may cause pain. A study performed on patients with discogenic back pain found that over half who received the treatment still felt relief a year out.
