Transcript of Video Titled “Massage Chair Industry Update – January 29, 2014”
Alan: Well hi, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com‘ and today is our biweekly massage chair industry update. Today it’s January 29th, 2014, not a lot to talk about today, but we have a few things to go over.
[SCREEN TEXT: Stock Status]
Alan: First of all, as far as stock goes, stock is pretty good in most companies right now, you know, even Osaki, which has so many models, is only deficient right now on the Cyber, which is back-ordered on all colors until the middle of February. So, if you want to order a Cyber, order now, it is a popular model, but they do get spoken for even before the shipments arrive. The Dreamer was out of stock, but they have a full complement of OS-3D Pro Dreamers now in stock, so you can get any color. Infinity, the ‘Dark Brown,’ the ‘Butter’ and the ‘Ivory’ IT-9800s are back-ordered, and they have no indication of when they will be replenished. So,I don’t know if they are going to be discontinuing that model, think we talked about this a couple of weeks ago, and I haven’t heard anything to confirm one way or the other, but there is no scheduled replenishment date. So, if they do order, it’ll take 60 to 90 days to get here, so it’ll be a while before those colors are available. Human Touch, Inada, Panasonic, Cozzia, Omega, they all seem to have stock, I’ve not heard of anything to tell me otherwise.
[SCREEN TEXT: Johnson Wellness Chairs Discontinuing Online Sales]
Alan: I will mention though, I just got an email today, just before I recorded this, and it kind of shocked me. You know, the Johnson Wellness chairs we just started carrying a short time ago, a couple months ago, and I’ve got a J6800 in my showroom, and of course, we’ve got the three models, the 5600, 5800, and the 6800 on our website – well, I was just notified that they are not going – they’re going be discontinuing selling those chairs online, so we are going to have to take these chairs down. I don’t know what the reasoning is, what the thinking is, they’re only going to have them through brick-and-mortar stores. Maybe they’re following the Cozzia, you know, marketing model, I’m not sure, but it does appear as though the Johnson chairs will not be available on our website or on any website, other than in the brick-and-mortar stores. So, Johnson Wellness chairs out of the picture, I do have a J6800, it’s quite new, it’s in my showroom, and you’re welcome to buy it. I don’t know what I’m going to sell it for, I haven’t even thought about it, because I just got the news. The chair, with the sale, retails for $4999, we’ll probably sell ours for, you know, $2999, $3499, something like that, because I can’t sell them anymore, so that chair sits on my showroom floor. Anyway, so Johnson Wellness chairs are no more online, you have to go to a brick-and-mortar store to check them out.
[SCREEN TEXT: $250 Inada Sogno Rebate Until January 31, 2014]
Alan: Oh, Inada has a rebate right now, they’re offering $250 rebate on the Inada Sogno, but it’s only good until the end of the day Friday, which is the 31st. So, if you’re thinking about getting a Sogno, take advantage of it now, before Friday, you can get $250 back on the rebate. We have a sale at our showroom right now on the Inada Sogno, so you can call the showroom, and find out what our sale is, you can call 888-259-5380, and we can let you know what the sale is for that chair. Plus, if you forgo the White Glove delivery, which we pay for, it’s free on the Inada Sogno, we can save you another couple hundred bucks as well. So, right now with this rebate, and with our showroom sale, and with the White Glove, forgoing the White Glove delivery, that we offer as part of the package anyway, you could save quite a bit of money, so anyway, give us a call.
[SCREEN TEXT: Massage Chair Infographics]
Alan: I put these infographics on my article library, on my blog, and article library. Infographics are basically an online poster, and we’ve had these posters created, or these online infographics create, and we’re having them created for each of our massage chair models. A few of them have gone up already on our blog, and you’re welcome to take the code at the bottom of – underneath the infographic, there’s a code, and you can copy and paste that code on to your website, your own blog, I don’t know if it’ll post on to like Facebook, or other social media platforms – but you’re welcome to share those infographics with your friends and family through your website, or your blog, or whatever your web presence is. So, we encourage you to do that, we just ask that you don’t change the code, of course, but that infographic’s available if you want to tell someone about a particular model. So, if you have any questions about infographics, just give me a call or email me, and I’d be happy to chitchat with you about it.
[SCREEN TEXT: OS-3D Pro Dreamer vs. OS-3D Pro Cyber (REVISITED)]
Alan: Let’s see, what else is cooking, oh, oh, I just posted an article today, you know, I got a phone call from a guy last week, and he asked me: Now listen, on your comparative review – and I wrote a comparative review a month or two ago, comparing the Osaki OS-3D Pro Dreamer, to its sister chair, the OS-3D Pro Cyber, and in the article, it sounded like I kind of gave the nod to the Cyber, and people observed that – but I have found that the Dreamer is outselling the Cyber. Now, we have both of them in our showroom, side by side, and more people lean toward the Dreamer, and buy the Dreamer. So, this fellow wanted to know why that was, and you know, I have some explanations of it, and I’ve put it in this article today, so you can check that out in our article library as well. I call it ‘The OS-3D Pro Dreamer vs. the OS-3D Pro Cyber (REVISITED).’ The previous article was that title, part one and part two, because it was a two-part article, but now I’ve revisited that review with these extra points. I’ve mentioned five things that are contributing to the increased sales, or the better sales, of the OS-3D Pro Dreamer. You know, that’s just about it. So, stock’s good for most chairs, it’s a good time to buy chairs because lots of stock is available. Not a lot of new models come out at this time of the year, and but some are often, not often, but sometimes chairs are discontinued around now. So, I’ll keep you posted, you know, stay tuned to this, you know, biweekly review, or biweekly update, or on to our blog, or Facebook, and we’ll keep you posted as to the latest news, and what’s going on in the world of massage chairs. Now, if you found this video helpful, please feel free to subscribe to our YouTube channel, and you can be updated with subsequent massage chair updates, or other videos that we put out for chair reviews, or whatnot, and we have quite a few videos on our YouTube channel. Feel free to subscribe, and you’ll be the first to be updated as to, you know, whenever we have a new video that pops up. Also, feel free to share us, or ‘Like’ us, or ‘+1’ us, or tweet us, or whatever the case may be, to help spread the word about massage chairs. We do appreciate that, and that ultimately is our mission, to increase the awareness of the massage chair benefit, and physiological, therapeutic benefit to the American public. So, if you can help us spread the word, that’d be awesome. I guess that’s about it for this week, I will see you in another couple weeks. I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com,’ thanks so much for visiting today, and we’ll see you in two. Bye bye.
