Transcript of Video Titled “Massage Chair Industry Update – February 16, 2015”
Alan: Hi, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com’ and today is our massage chair industry update for Monday, February 16th, 2015.
[SCREEN TEXT: Stock Status]
Alan: I will – well, there’s not a lot to talk about today, but we’ll get in to – well, there’s not a lot about stock status, either. The only chairs that I’m still aware of that are back-ordered are the Osaki 4000Ts which have been back-ordered for two months now, and they are supposed to be coming in the week of the 23rd, of February. So, I hope so, because we’ve got a lot of back-orders, and a lot of very, very patient customers that are growing impatient with each passing week. Also, the 4000T is back-ordered, or sorry, the 4000T – the Titan 8400 is back-ordered until about the same period of time, and then, in the end of February, beginning of March, the Osaki 7200s will be in stock. As far as the Inada goes, and – oh, Panasonic, the MA73 is back-ordered until the middle of – the middle part of February, which is around now, so I’m expecting those chairs to be in. I believe the Human Touch chairs are in, the Inada chairs are in full stock, Omega, Infinity, Cozzia, I believe they’re all in stock, other than the ones that I’ve just mentioned. So, stock’s doing OK.
[SCREEN TEXT: Synchrony Bank – 18 Months, 0% Interest Financing]
Alan: Now, listen, from today, well, from the 11th of February to the 17th of February, Synchrony Bank is offering their 18-month financing, 0% interest financing. So, during the main part of the year, or the rest of the year, we can offer 6 or 12 month, 0% interest financing. Well, there are certain times of the year – and February 11th to the 17th is one of those times, for President’s Day – that they offer 18 months, 0% interest financing, and they lower our processing fees low enough that I can afford to do that for you, and give you that kind of a financing deal. So, if you’re interested in it, the 17th is tomorrow, so you know, jump on it today, or tomorrow, to take advantage of that.
[SCREEN TEXT: AcuTouch 8.0 Bali = HT-Bali]
Alan: Now, as you know, we’ve added the AcuTouch 8.0 Bali, to our, to our massage chair, you know, inventory, and when it first came out, it was called the AcuTouch 8.0 Bali, but apparently Human Touch has changed the name now to just the HT-Bali. As you know, most of their other chairs are HT-9500, HT-7120, HT-5040, HT-7450, well, this is the HT-Bali, B-A-L-I, so if you’re looking for it on my website, that’s the name you’ll see it under, it won’t be the AcuTouch 8.0 anymore.
[SCREEN TEXT: New Luraco iRobotics 7]
Alan: Now, Luraco’s come out with a new model, called the iRobotics, or the, yeah, the iRobotics 7. Now, apparently, they demoed this chair at CES, the consumer electronics show, in Las Vegas, in January, and it wasn’t fully functioning though, they’re still working on the electronic components. If you remember, Luraco imports the bodies of their chairs, and the motors, and the compressors, and most of that stuff, from China, but all their electronics are done, are manufactured right here in the United States, in Dallas, or in Arlington, where their headquarters is. So, they’re still in the process of working on some of the electronic components for the chair.
[SCREEN TEXT: I’m Visiting Osaki & Luraco March 3rd & 4th]
Alan: Now, I am actually going to be flying to Dallas on, I believe, March 3rd, I’ll be going from the 3rd to the 4th to visit Luraco, to see this new iRobotics 7, and they apparently, they’re going to have it ready by then. I’m excited to see this chair, I saw the pictures of it, and it looked very cool, very slick. I don’t know how it’s going and compare to the new iRobotics 6SL, which they just upgraded from the old 6S a couple months ago, but I’ll be sure to, you know, take some video, and post it on the blog, and talk about it here on our massage chair industry update, after, later in March.
[SCREEN TEXT: New APEX Line of Chairs!]
Alan: So, anyway, I’m excited to go to Dallas, and I’m going to be visiting Osaki also, and I’ll be checking out their new APEX line, which is a new line of chairs. Now, they’ve got Osaki, they’ve got Titan, and now they’ve got APEX, and apparently, there’s a couple of the APEX models that are kind of cool. They’re – Osaki’s really going full bore in to the L-track chairs, you know the extended roller track chairs, with their 8400 Titan, Titan Alpine, and now a couple – I believe, a couple of these APEX chairs are extended roller track. So, I’ll check out that line, sit on some of the chairs, and see how they feel, and then decide if they’re chairs that we want to carry on our website. Also, and then Osaki, since the last time I visited them and recorded that, which I think was about a year and a half ago, they – and we alluded to this new headquarters that they were having – that they were just working on renovating and filling, but they have since moved in to that, and it’s got a huge warehouse. I remember – I think I showed video of this on the last visit to them – but it’s a huge warehouse, and they’ve got a big showroom now, and lots office space, but I’m going out there to visit them as well. I will record that, and report back, as well, to you, so that you can see what’s cooking at Osaki Titan, Osaki/Titan/APEX. You know, I think that is just about it for massage chairs.
