Alan: Hi, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com’ and today we’re going to demonstrate the ‘Auto Extend’ program, or feature, of the Infinity Iyashi massage chair’s ottoman. This is a chair, the new chair, from Infinite Therapeutics, the first chair that we’ve seen that has rollers that come down to the buttock and in to the back of the thighs. Well, one of the little features that make it very, very easy to use, and very user friendly is the ‘Auto-Extend’ of the ottoman. Most chairs, nowadays, have like an accordion-like manual extending of the ottoman. You can just push the legs out, or bring your legs back in, and the ottoman will kind of go out, or pop back in manually. Well, on this chair, you can extend it electronically with a button on the remote control. You’ll see here on the remote it says ‘Feet Extend.’

Alan: So, when I push that, I’ve already elevated the ottoman so I didn’t have to waste your time showing you how to bring the ottoman up, but when I push the ‘Foot Extend’ – oh, just a minute, let me make sure it’s on – OK, when I push the ‘Foot Extend,’ I can hold that and stop it where ever I want that ottoman to go. If I’ve got really, really long legs, I can extend it out even further. If I want to retract it, I can pull it right back up again. Now, on some of these positions, it’ll do it automatically – like let’s say, for example, you go in to a zero-gravity position, you push the ‘Zero Gravity’ button – it’ll tilt the seat way back in to a zero-gravity position, and then the ottoman will come up to some degree, and then it usually will auto extend, on its own, you don’t even have to push any buttons. It’ll extend, and it’ll kind of measure your leg length, and it’ll stop when it figures it’s got you figured out, your leg length figured out. If it’s not quite where you want it to go, you can extend it or retract it, by using those buttons, to make sure that ottoman is the perfect length for you.

Alan: It’s important to have a good fit with the legs, because if you’ve got the legs up too high, you’re going to feel like you’re cramped, like you’re 6′ 5″ in an MG sports car. You want to be able to have, you want to be able to feel like your legs are fully extended, and your thighs are right on the seat of the chair, and your feet, or your knees, are not sticking too high up in the air. That’s very important when you’re sitting on a massage chair for comfort of the massage.
