[SCREEN TEXT: Your First Time]
Alan: Hi, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com’ and today we’re going to show you how you can use the Inada YuMe massage chair for the first time, so that it’s easy for you to get started, and you don’t have to read through the entire owner’s manual to figure out how to get started with it. It’s a very easy chair to get in to, it doesn’t have foot airbags, a foot massage component, it’s only calves, so you don’t even have to take off your shoes. You just slide in to it, slide in to the seat โ and on any massage chair, always make sure that you slide your butt right up against the back of the chair because the low back massage is one of the best parts of any massage chair, but if you’re not slid all the way โ if you haven’t slid all the way back up against the chair back, the rollers may not, you may not feel the intensity of the rollers in the low back because there will be that space between your back and the chair back, so always make sure that you snuggle your butt right up against the back of the chair.

Alan: Take the remote out, and of course, the remote on the YuMe is on the side, in a little side pocket, it is a very, very easy remote control. What I might show you, first of all, is that there is a button here, and when the chair is off, that button is red. You have to have that button to green before any of the programs will work, and you’ll basically have three programs, main programs, to pick from, the ‘Master Shiatsu’ program, the stretch program, and the ‘Rock & Massage’ program. Remember, the Inada YuMe is the only chair that has a rocking feature, and that’s the feature I usually like to incorporate, so I will push that button, and that is all you have to do to get started. Now you’ll see that the ottoman is coming up to preset position, for this auto program, and the chair back is reclining as well. Even though the YuMe is not a zero-gravity chair, the chair will recline in to almost a zero-gravity position, but then when the rocking begins, it’ll actually rock back, and the seat will tilt up to zero-gravity position, and then it’ll go back down again when it rocks forward.

Alan: So, it’s not a permanent zero-gravity position, and I wouldn’t call it an official zero-gravity feature, but on the YuMe, it does kind of recline you in to a zero-gravity position in its rocking motion. So, right now, you’ll see that I’m just sitting in the chair, it’s doing it’s scanning on me, as most of the nicer chairs do nowadays. When the scan is complete, the light will change from red to a green, over here on the side of the remote control, and always, always, whenever you’re getting a body scan, make sure your head is back all the way so the rollers can figure out where your shoulders are relative to your head, but keep your head back. I can feel the rollers going down in to my buttock, now it’s moving up to my back, and now the chair โ you can also see the chair is rocking back and forth โ and you can also see the Thera-Eliptical-Kneading of the calves, which is something very, very unique to this chair as well. The calves don’t just compress, this is the first chair that actually has airbags that compress, and knead, and move up and down to knead your calf muscles. I’ve got fairly large calf muscles, I love this feature, but that is how I would recommend you use the Inada YuMe the first time through, it’s very easy.

Alan: Sit in the chair, slide your butt up against the back of the chair, as I recommend on any other chair, press one of these program buttons, I pressed the ‘Rock & Massage’ program, and just sit back and let the chair do the rest. Remember to keep your head back, when it’s doing the body scan, so it can figure out where your head is relative to your shoulders, and you’re good to go. When you’re done, I have found that if I turn the power button off, I cannot restore the chair back to its neutral position. So, what I do, first of all, is I push the ‘Recline’ button to bring the chair back up, and you’ll see that โ and then this is what I would do at the end of the massage if I want end it before the program ends on its own โ but I’m bringing the chair all the way up. The ottoman is coming down, and as soon as that chair is restored back to its neutral position, then I turn the green button, push it again, the power button is off, the button turns yellow, and then it’ll eventually turn red when the chair is shut off altogether, and that is how you can use the Inada YuMe for the first time.
