What is the “Dreamwave” in the Inada Sogno Massage Chair?
The Inada Sogno Dreamwave massage chairhas a very unique feature to the chair that you won’t find on any other manufacturer’s massage chairs. It has a seat that moves to allow for passive movement in the lower back and hip joints. It is called “Dreamwave” technology and is unique to and proprietary to Inada.
This is a tremendous feature for anybody who may have chronic or acute low back and hip pain. Typically, when a person has chronic or acute low back pain they tend to not want to move a whole lot, but what this does overtime is allow those joints to stiffen up, lose range of motion and possibly calcify so that they stay frozen permanently. This only keeps the pain cycle progressing and perpetuating. So, when a feature like this seat is utilized it can keep those joints free and loose and since it is inducing passive movement it doesn’t send off those pain signals!
The seat movement is something that is featured in the “Dreamwave” program, this chair’s signature program and namesake. Throughout this program the seat will move in a slow figure-8 pattern and then at various times the air cells will inflate to work the lower back and create hip and thigh compression. Airbags also continue to work the lower leg and foot while the Dreamwave technology is in play. This is a very relaxing program even for people who do not have chronic low back pain. If you need something to help you relax at the end of the day, to calm the mind and body, this is definitely the program that you want to use!
Massage Chair Seat Also Used in Inada Sogno Stretch Program
Another function of this rotating seat is felt when the client is using the “Stretch” program. This is an amazing program on the Inada Sogno massage chair because it not only does a flexion and extension stretch of the spine but it also does a rotational stretch. What I mean by this is that the seat will shift and tilt to one side and then the air cells inflate to lean you to that side. After a few moments the seat will shift and tilt to the other side and then the air cells will inflate on the other side of the chair and lean you the other way! It is truly an effective stretch and one that will leave you feeling loose and flexible!
The air cells are used in this chair in a much more sophisticated way than in most other manufacturer’s chairs. Typically in the past, massage chair airbags were just used for straight compression but Inada has revolutionized how these air cells are used and, in turn, felt by the client. If you have the opportunity to sit in an Inada Sogno Dreamwave Plus massage chair, try the above mentioned programs and see for yourself how far this technology has come!
