A new study recently published in the Journal of Health Psychology found that one of the most effective ways to moderate the effects of stress is to be more forgiving of yourself and others. Using data collected from 148 subjects, researchers found that people who have a more forgiving nature are considerably less stressed out than those who are not.
Consequently, actively compassionate people are afflicted by fewer stress-related mental and physical illnesses.
