Staring at a computer screen all day causes a lot of Americans a lot of neck pain, but there are things you can do to avoid that. Are you sitting up straight? Is the monitor at eye level? Are you taking breaks every so often to stretch and walk around? Ergonomic experts say that what seems comfortable at first can cause pain over time. There are also other things you could be doing that are causing progressive pain, like having the monitor lights too bright, or using (or not using) reading glasses.
