As you may or may not know, Massage Chair Relief offers a Peace of Mind Lifetime Labor Warranty for every chair that we sell. This warranty kicks in after the factory warranty and any purchased or added extended warranty expires. When those warranties expire, and something goes wrong with your chair, you get the parts and we do the repair (if needed). It’s as simple as that. I’ll chat a bit more about that later in this article.

I have been offering this exclusive free service since we opened our Southern California location in November, 2015. It was originally meant for anyone who had purchased their chair from us after that date but, in 2018, we expanded that coverage to anyone who had ever purchased a chair from us.
We use three national networks of techs to help us find a tech in virtually every area in the country. One of the reasons I am writing this article to highlight our Lifetime Labor Warranty is because some of our competitors have been telling potential customers that our special warranty is not all it’s cracked up to be. They tell our folks that there are only techs in big cities and that if you live in a smaller city or a rural locale, you’re out of luck.
Nothing could be further from the truth. We estimate that 98% + of our customers are covered no matter where they live in the USA because of the comprehensive coverage from three networks that we use. Our policy offers free service calls for anyone living within a 25 mile radius of a tech and for anyone that lives beyond the 25 miles, there is a $1/mile travel fee after 25 miles, but the service call is still free to our customer.
“How Can You Afford To Offer This?”
I was on the phone yesterday with another massage chair retailer and in the course of our conversation he asked me why on earth I would or could offer this warranty because of the associated cost. Great question. It didn’t make financial sense to him to offer not only our Lifetime Labor Warranty but also our 90 day free return policy. I offer these services because we want our customers to feel that they are taken care of from the moment they begin their massage chair shopping experience to the time they don’t want their chair anymore. I am an older guy, and maybe a bit more old-fashioned. Wanting to treat people the way I would like to be treated is important to me. My company still has a long way to go to keep everyone happy, but we are constantly trying to do so. We have systems in place that are perpetually being tweaked to make life better and easier for our customers (and, ultimately, for us!).
How Does It Work?
Now, let’s get back to the Lifetime Labor Warranty and talk about logistics. What do you need to do if you have a chair problem after the factory and any extended warranty expires? Here are the 4 simple steps:
- Call the massage chair company who imported or made your chair (we can get you their phone number if you don’t have it),
- Have their customer support diagnose your chair’s problem(s),
- Have whatever part(s) you need shipped to your residence,
- Call Massage Chair Relief to find out where the nearest tech is to you and, upon your approval, have that tech dispatched to make the repair in your home (under our Lifetime Labor Warranty, you are entitled to up to two visits per incident).
It’s actually pretty simple. Sometimes the massage chair company sends out the wrong part or misdiagnoses the problem, so those are the times when we have to send out the tech a second time. That is when it gets quite expensive and a bother to me and the customer, but it is all part of the warranty.
So, in your massage chair shopping journey, if any other retailer tells you that our warranty is pretty worthless, take a look at the reviews on our Lifetime Labor Warranty page and you’ll see that we pretty much do what we say we will do. This is not some scam to get you to buy a chair from us and then tell you some time down the road that we’re not honoring the warranty.
