Ogawa Master Drive AI 2.0
Out with the old, in with the new! Every year we see new models come and old models go. Last year we saw the Luraco i9 series upgraded to the i9 Max series, the arrival of the new Titan Fleetwood and Panasonic MAK1 models, the new Tru line of chairs, and the X-Chair X77 model. We bid farewell to the D.Core Cloud and the Human Touch Novo XT2.
At the tail end of last year, Ogawa discontinued their very popular Master Drive AI and replaced it with an upgrade…the Ogawa Master Drive AI 2.0. I would attribute the “upgrade” to issues with connectivity of the wireless Samsung tablet. We sold quite a few of the original Master Drive AI’s but a few of those that we sold had some issues with the tablet connecting to the tablet through BlueTooth.
Overall, I liked the idea of the Samsung tablet. You could play movies on your app while you were sitting in your chair. Download Netflix onto the tablet and you could have a movie night in the therapeutic comfort of your very own massage chair. You could also operate your chair from an app, but it could only be an android app, since the tablet was an android-compatible Samsung product.
The new Ogawa Master Drive AI 2.0 has a hard-wired tablet, which resolves both issues: 1.) it now has apps that are formatted for both iOS and Android which you can download to your own device, and 2.) no need to worry about the wireless BlueTooth connectivity issues that the original Master Drive AI had to deal with.
Additionally, the Ogawa Master Drive AI 2.o comes with 4 more air cells, improved heating elements, and 4 new fresh colors. Those colors are emerald/cappuccino, gun metal/ivory, dark brown/sand, and all black (see colors at the bottom of this post).
All of the other features that the Master Drive AI so popular are still included, like 4D VarioMotion, Chair Doctor, M.6 GEN Microprocessors, brushless motors, M-Drive controls, 3D calf & knee heat, 28 programs, 2-stage zero gravity recline, among other features.
The new chair is priced at $12,999, but will have regular sales throughout the year, as did its predecessor. We will have this new model in all of our showrooms for you to come and try out.
