Massage chair tip: 30 min use = 30 min rest for longevity!

There is something massage chairs have called a duty cycle. The duty cycle is the amount of time a chair can be used before it needs to rest. For most chairs, this corresponds to the longest program available, which is usually 30 minutes.

What this means is that if you use the chair for 30 minutes—the duty cycle—you should also allow it to rest for 30 minutes. In other words, the rest period should match the usage period.

This duty cycle is something many people aren’t aware of, if they know about it at all. It doesn’t necessarily mean you must always give the chair a full 30-minute rest after every 30-minute session, but if you want to extend the life of your chair and minimize breakdowns, you should respect the duty cycle.

So, if the duty cycle is 30 minutes—which is typical for massage chairs—you should let the chair rest for 30 minutes after use. If you don’t, the chair is more likely to experience issues and breakdowns over time.

I hope you found this helpful. I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from massagechairrelief.com, and I’ll see you in the next video.

Bye bye!
