Inside the Infinity Luminary Syner-D Chair: Intro

Hi, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from Massage Chair Relief, and today I’m going to introduce you to the Infinity Luminary Syner-D massage chair. This is a fantastic chair, manufactured in a top-tier factory in China.

It’s part of the split-track or flex-track category of massage chairs, and it features two separate roller mechanisms.

[00:00:28]
By the way, this is a strong massage chair—it delivers a deep and firm massage. If it’s too intense for your liking, the factory includes several accessories: a head pillow, a neck and upper back pad, and a full-back pad to help reduce intensity.

This model includes two rollers on the upper mechanism and four rollers on the lower mechanism.

[00:00:43]
If you’re familiar with split-track chairs, you’ll recognize this design. It uses what’s called an SL-track with a split, meaning the bottom third and upper two-thirds have separate roller systems. The top rollers travel down to your lower back and then move back up, while the lower rollers cover your glutes and lower back area.

So you get two rollers on top and four on the bottom—a total of six massage balls for more comprehensive coverage.

[00:01:02]
It’s a very impressive system. The chair also includes a tablet-style remote and quick access keys on the side panel, which let you operate basic functions without needing the full remote interface.

[00:01:25]
There’s also a USB port to charge your device and a wireless charging pad built into the armrest. Just lay your phone on it to charge. The chair features Bluetooth speakers and a built-in SootheMe Sound Therapy system, which plays relaxing nature sounds while you enjoy your massage.

[00:01:47]
You can choose from a variety of ambient sounds—birds, water, wind through trees—to help enhance your relaxation.

It also has an air ionizer, which emits purified air from a vent below the left speaker, gently flowing past your face for added comfort.

[00:02:10]
The chair includes chromotherapy lighting and approximately 66 airbags throughout the body. In the ottoman, the airbags not only compress the calves, but also knead and oscillate, creating a soothing, dynamic experience.

[00:02:37]
These combine with foot airbags and foot rollers—three per side. There are also calf rollers, which are quite rare. So you get compression, kneading, oscillation, and rolling all in one. It’s a fantastic foot and calf massage—one of the best available.

[00:02:53]
The chair comes in black or brown and features a user memory function, which is uncommon in massage chairs. This lets you create a custom manual program—for example, kneading and tapping on the neck at your preferred speed and intensity—and save it.

[00:03:14]
Then, whenever you sit down, you can just press the button for that saved program, and the chair will run it exactly as you set it.

[00:03:29]
It’s a unique and very convenient feature. You’d think more chairs would have it, but surprisingly, not many do.

This chair also supports voice commands. You can speak to the chair and tell it what to do, and in some cases, it will respond with a confirmation.

[00:03:47]
As far as warranty goes, the Luminary includes:

  • 1 year of in-home labor

  • 3 years of parts coverage

  • 5 years on the frame

That’s a limited five-year warranty. It’s important to know that while a “five-year warranty” sounds comprehensive, it typically means only one year of labor, three years of parts, and five years for the frame.

[00:04:07]
In my 20+ years in this business, I’ve only seen one chair with a frame issue, and that was due to shipping damage before it left the factory. So while the frame warranty sounds like a big deal, it’s rarely needed.

[00:04:24]
The chair also includes shoulder airbags that hold your shoulders in place during the stretch program, which is very effective.

It’s also a wall-hugging design, meaning you can place it just about an inch from the wall. That’s a big plus for saving space.

[00:04:44]
Just to clarify:

  • Traditional chairs needed 16–18 inches of clearance.

  • Space-savers require about 4–6 inches.

  • Wall-huggers, like this one, only need 1 inch.

So this chair is a great option if space is limited in your home.

[00:05:02]
Infinity chairs are designed for larger American body types, but they also work for smaller users. The Luminary is rated for people from 5’0″ to about 6’6″. However, someone at the upper height range may find that the rollers don’t reach all the way to the top of their neck, depending on their proportions.

[00:05:24]
In general, the best fit range for this chair is up to about 6’4″, though individual results may vary based on leg and torso length.

[00:05:38]
So that’s the Infinity Luminary Syner-D—a powerful, well-built massage chair made in the renowned Rotai factory in China. We love this chair, and it’s one of our most popular models.
