Hi, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from Massage Chair Relief. I started Massage Chair Relief in June of 2005 as a side project while I was still practicing as a chiropractor.
I graduated from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in December of 1991—now known as the Southern California University of Health Sciences—and began my chiropractic practice in Utah in 1992. I’m originally from Canada and immigrated to the United States in 1988 to attend school in Southern California before eventually settling in Utah.
I practiced chiropractic for 17 years. While I enjoyed helping patients, the business itself wasn’t financially sustainable for me long term. As a result, I began looking for side ventures—ways to supplement my income. One of those ideas was a massage chair website, and that project quickly gained traction.
In 2005, Massage Chair Relief launched as an online-only business under the name massage-chair-ref.com. In 2008, I sold my chiropractic practice and opened our first small retail store in the same building where my clinic had been located. We are still operating in that location today.
Since then, the company has continued to grow:
-
2015: Opened a showroom in Cerritos, California
-
2019: Opened a showroom in Mesa, Arizona
-
2022: Opened a showroom in Northern California
Today, I remain the owner of Massage Chair Relief, though each location is run by experienced managers who are excellent at what they do. We’ve built deep expertise in massage chairs and focus heavily on customer service and long-term support.
We offer:
-
A lifetime labor warranty
-
A 90-day, risk-free return policy
-
Free white-glove delivery and in-home setup for local customers
-
Free chair moves for local customers
-
Ongoing support that becomes even more important if a chair ever needs service
Massage Chair Relief is now 20 years strong, and we’ve been offering our lifetime labor warranty for more than 12 years. At this stage in my career, my primary focus is education—helping people understand what to look for, what to avoid, and how to prevent costly mistakes or disappointing experiences when buying a massage chair.
I hope you found this story helpful.
I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from Massage Chair Relief, and I’ll see you in the next video.
Bye-bye.
