I recently interviewed one of our customers, Philip, and I thought his story was worth sharing because it reflects the journey many people take when shopping for a massage chair.
Philip’s search began with a simple goal: he wanted to find a $400 used massage chair on Facebook Marketplace. His brother-in-law had purchased one for that price, and after trying it, Philip thought, “Maybe I can do the same.”
As he started researching, he quickly realized there was a lot more to massage chairs than he expected. He began looking at used chairs in the $1,500 range, then started listening to our podcast and watching our educational videos. The more he learned, the more he understood the differences in quality, features, reliability, and long-term ownership.
Eventually, he visited one of our showrooms, where he spent nearly three hours trying a variety of massage chairs. Together, we narrowed the choices based on his specific needs—primarily relief for chronic low back pain, shoulder tension, and discomfort following spinal fusion surgery.
In the end, he chose the Osaki Bravo Duo. It wasn’t the most expensive chair he tried, but it was the one that best addressed the issues that mattered most to him.
One thing Philip mentioned really stood out to me. He said that, over the years, he’d often bought the cheapest option available, only to replace it later when it failed. This time, he decided to invest in a quality chair from a reputable company with dependable customer support and warranty coverage.
He also said that one of the biggest reasons he purchased from us was our lifetime labor warranty. He didn’t want to worry about finding service technicians or dealing with repair issues on his own. He wanted the peace of mind of knowing someone would be there to help if he ever needed it.
His story is a great reminder that shopping for a massage chair isn’t just about finding the lowest price. It’s about finding the chair that best fits your body, your needs, and your long-term expectations.
