Hi, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from Massage Chair Relief, and today I’m going to show you how to use the Osaki DuoMax 4D massage chair for the first time.

Right now, I’m outside the chair, and we’re going to get in. Unlike many other chairs with open-toe footrests, this one has a closed-toe design. You’ll need to slide your feet in as if you’re putting on boots or shoes. Once you’re in, there are two ways to get started.

First, you can use the quick keys—there are four of them on the side. These allow you to operate the chair without the remote. But for now, I’ll demonstrate using the remote. On the side, there’s a button you can push, and once you do, the chair begins to recline.

At this point, you can select the massage intensity you prefer. Let’s go with “Gentle.” Then you wait as the chair reclines to its resting position, where your program will begin. You don’t need to press “Pause” unless you want to stop mid-session, and you don’t need to press “Power” unless you want to turn the chair off.

Next, wait for the body scan to complete. Once it’s done, you can choose whichever program you’d like. That’s really all there is to getting started with the DuoMax.

One important tip: keep your head back during the scan. This allows the rollers to correctly locate your head and shoulders. If you lift your head or look around while it’s scanning, the rollers may mistake your shoulders for the base of your skull, which affects how well the massage fits your body.

When you’re finished, you can press the power button either on the remote or on the chair itself. The chair will then return to its neutral position automatically. Just relax until it’s done.

That’s pretty much all you need to know for your first time using the Osaki DuoMax 4D massage chair. It’s a popular model with some nice intensity, and you can hear more of my thoughts in my opinion video.
