Being active may reduce risk of chronic low back pain - Brainerd Dispatch

A new study, conducted as a review of over 36 recent studies and clinical trials, suggests that regular physical activity may reduce or eliminate chronic back pain. This benefit seems isolated to chronic pain, defined as pain for more than 30 days in the preceding year. The study showed little benefit to intermittent pain, or acute pain and the authors noted several limitations, including a narrow age span. Those who aren't active are suggested to become more so, but to ramp up slowly
