A recent study shows that Yoga and Physical Therapy are having positive outcomes for patients who suffer from chronic lower-back pain. Boston University conducted a year long study and found that Yoga and Physical Therapy were a better alternative to prescription pain medicine. Yoga may also be a cheaper alternative for those patients who cannot afford physical therapy. This study hasn’t been researched enough with low-income, racial and socio-economic classes as well as those who have no health insurance. But, the study does show that the participants who attended Yoga and Physical Therapy the most times per week had less pain.
