An online version of an Indian newspaper has a feature on exercises and pain in the lower back. It recommends not doing certain exercises. Examples include abdominal crunches and burpees. Crunches put pressure on the lower back. Burpees involve jumping, and have a high impact on the body. This can make the pain greater. Other exercises not recommended are squats and high knee jumps. The feature does recommend several helpful exercises, such as the cobra stretch and standing toe touch. The feature has several videos embedded.
