Alan: Hi, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com‘ and today I want to talk briefly about two programs that Inada has integrated in to their remote control and in to their programming on the Inada Flex 3s chair, and that is the ‘Warm Up’ and the ‘Cool Down’ programs. Now, a lot of people use their massage chairs in conjunction with their regular exercise regimen, so a lot of people will use the chair before they exercise, a lot of them will use the chair after they exercise. Well, Inada has actually taken that, that propensity to use the chair in that situation, and created two programs for you, called the ‘Warm Up’ and the ‘Cool Down’ programs. Now, the ‘Warm Up’ – and it’s underneath the lid of the remote control, under the section called ‘Conditioning Sessions’ – and you’ll notice here, ‘Warm Up’ and ‘Cool Down.’

Alan: The ‘Warm Up’ is something that they recommend you use before you exercise. It’s a gentle stretch that’ll lightly get the body moving, first thing, before you begin the exercise, or it can also be used in the morning before you, you know, when you get out of bed, and you’re just trying to get up and at them for the day, and take it from a 55-year old, sometimes it’s not that easy getting up early in the morning, and feeling like, you know, like you can, you know, run cross country the minute you wake up. Sometimes it takes a little moving around to kind of get everything moving right, and that’s what the purpose of the ‘Warm Up’ program is all about. Now, the ‘Cool Down’ program, which is right next to it, is typically used after exercise, and that might be something that you want to use to kind of get the body stretching, and get the whole body moving again after any kind of exercise. Sometimes exercise has a tendency to work a particular section of the body more than another, like maybe you’re playing racquetball, so you’re using a repetitive motion of the upper body, or maybe you’re running, so you’re using a repetitive motion of the lower body.

Alan: Well, the ‘Cool Down’ program will work to kind of – just, a nice, balanced stretch for the whole body – and some people like to use the massage chair at night before they go to bed, and you can use one of the other programs on there, but the ‘Cool Down’ might also be a nice way to kind of just soothe the body, settle things down after a long day of doing whatever it is that you do during the day for your work, or for your home tasks. So, that is two of the ‘Conditioning Sessions’ of the new Inada Flex 3s massage chair, great idea, great integration of something that people are already doing when they get their massage chairs, it’s just a way to kind of name it and quantify it for a user.
